So my birthday is a couple days away and Ive really been wanting a tablet to game and use for work. I was looking at red magic tablets but every time I go on the website their sold out. Im really looking for a tablet with a oled screen cuz im going to use it for watching movies and such. My budget is 400-500 I don’t know if im asking for to much but thats all I got✌️

Took me hours to configure this lenovo idea tab running android 16. Uninstalled bloatware 3 times because they came back after updates. Now after having finished configuring everything the case keyboard (original lenovo) is stuck to qwerty (it was on qwertz before - i need qwertz) and there is no fkn way to set it do qwertz in the settings. Lenovo support insists on reset to factory. I just bought this pos yesterday. Everytime in my life i had an android device in my hands it was a mess. Settings are a mess where the device has it's own and google for some reasons provides another layer of settings.

Never android again.

The 3:2 aspect ratio is a niche choice, especially in the 8-inch tablet market. But as someone who primarily uses tablets for reading manga and webtoons, I have found it perfect for my use case.

I bought the Onn 8" 2026 on release and *chefs kiss* its size and screen are perfect for reading. Riding the 3:2 screen high led me to buy a Oppo Pad Mini. So, after using all three here are "my" pros and cons for each device.

Ipad mini:
Pros: Smooth UI, 500 nits brightness
Cons: No browser extension, LCD, 60hz, 600$
Onn 8:
Pros: 138$, 90hz
Cons: No virtual memory, LCD, 350 nits brightness
Oppo pad mini
Pros: Oled, 1600 nits brightness, Smooth UI, Virtual memory, 144hz
Cons: 750$(giztop), Small bezels = where to grip?

I preferred the Onn’s 8.1-inch screen size the most. It felt perfect for reading, but the lack of virtual memory caused occasional hiccups with multiple tabs open, and the limited brightness was noticeable. Those two issues were enough to push me toward the Oppo Pad Mini.

That said, if you’re not using your tablet in bright environments and don’t need everything to be perfectly smooth all the time, the Onn 8" is perfectly serviceable. For $138, it’s hard to complain.

If you’re a “buy nice or buy twice” kind of person, definitely go with the Oppo Pad Mini.

Looking to get some help trying to root the onn 2026 8.1

I'm a track coach. I'm looking for a tablet with a camera that can do slow motion for my athletes to review their form. Right now I use my phone but the screen is small and storage fills up quick, so I'm looking for an alternative.

Preferably trying to keep it under $200. The cheaper, the better though so long as it has slow motion, that's basically my one purpose for it.

Preferably price based on AliExpress sale.

Hey everyone, I'm currently shopping for a Samsung tablet to use for mainly making comics and possibly some animation. My budget isn't huge. I'm wondering what the advantages of going for the 10 FE over the 10 lite would be from people who have actually used these devices for some time. Do you think I'll start having issues with any input lag a year or two in with the 10 lite? Is the extra processing power really worth it? I'll mostly be using it at home so I don't really care about the battery so much.

Looking to get a tablet for school.

I get migraines easily, so I initially was looking at eink readers.
But I want it to be able to manage my university readings (online journals/textbooks. Uses browsers. Taking some science-y courses that involves graphs etc), to be able to annotate readings.
I had read that the Boox can have some aspect ratio weirdness. And I forsee constant set up tweaking being a barrier/distraction.

I would like to be able to take notes and/or make graphs on it using a stylus. And I understand that screen texture and lag can really affect how the writing feels. (I figured I could get a matte screen laminate to compensate if it's too smooth)

I see a lot of people with similar concerns as me recommending the newer iPads. I don't really want to go the Apple route.
I want the familiarity of Android. Easy Google suite, Microsoft suite compatibility. Excel, Evernote or similar notes app. It would be nice if it has a built in screen reader application or is add-on capable/compatible.

Budget is not not an issue but not biggest issue. I'd take a cheaper option if it is only marginally worse

Ok, to specify I am looking for a new tablet for 2 priorities alone. Gaming doesn't matter, fastest refresh rate doesn't matter, no alternatives being considered unless it's a direct equivalent in budget (around 350-400 CAD with stylus) IPad is not being considered. The primary uses are for returning to post-secondary education as a graduate student and using it for:
1. Running VirtualSource Bookshelf for reading e-text

1. Writing notes using provided stylus/pen

The Samsung appears to be a more well known/supported brand, while the XPPen appears to have very much focused on it's pen/stylus functionality and touts its note taking ability.

I'm planning to get a tablet for myself.

My usage will be basic multimedia (YouTube, videos, movies while traveling) and exam prep (mostly reading and marking PDFs). I'd say my note-taking with a stylus will be low to medium. Mostly, I need this for portability.

I'm using a Samsung S24 Ultra, so most of the suggestions I've received have been for Samsung tablets due to ecosystem integration.

I don't want to spend much on this, as it doesn't play an integral part.

My budget is around 30k INR (looking for longevity as well).

I'm based in India. While doing my own research, I found OnePlus having a better spec sheet than Samsung at all levels.

Let's say I'm getting a Samsung Tab S6 Lite (2024) and a OnePlus Pad Go 2. Around the same price (34k INR including S Pen in both cases), which is the best way to go?

Samsung:

1. Ecosystem integration with my phone and note apps is highly praised, as I've seen online.

2. The S Pen in Samsung is better than OnePlus's stylus.

3. Software updates (I don't mind them as long as the device is working fine, I'm happy with it, and I'm also worried if the hardware will be pushed with future updates).

I'm a student in India, and I'm currently deciding between the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite.

My main use is studying: reading/annotating PDFs, handwritten notes, watching lectures, solving MCQs, and occasional multitasking. I already have a laptop, so this is primarily a study/productivity device. I'd like to keep it for around 3–5 years.

The Lenovo attracts me because of its 12.7" 144Hz display, stronger performance, 8GB RAM and larger battery. The Samsung attracts me because of One UI, S Pen, Samsung Notes, software support, brightness and overall software polish.

My main concerns are:

- How good is the Lenovo Pen Plus for handwriting/PDF annotation?

- Is Lenovo's ZUI/software support reliable long-term?

- Is the Lenovo's ~400-nit display actually an issue indoors?

- Does the S10 Lite's 6GB RAM and weaker processor become limiting with multitasking?

- Which one will age better over 3–5 years?

If you've actually used either tablet, which would you choose for my use case, and why?

The title. I'm actually confused between Oneplus Pad 2 (35k INR) and Xiaomi Pad 7 (34k INR). I actually want to buy a tab to consume media and for reading/note taking (minimal) purpose. For both the tabs, I'll need to purchase stylo separately ik but I've heard that OP2 is not at all optimized for note taking purpose and the experience is really bad. Another downcomer is the screen ratio, it's thick bezels are not gonna disappear while consuming media and that'll always bite me.

Now Xiaomi pad 7 overcomes both these negatives but then it comes with a inferior processor, although it's actually perfect for a person like me cuz I'm not actually looking one for gaming and designing stuff but then just for a 1k INR difference I really can't skip a beast processor of OP2. Hence the confusion.

Actually, I was also checking out the Moto Pad 60 Pro but I found out that it's battery backup isn't good and then it has heating issues as well, and it's costly also like right now being sold at 31k INR.

What shall I do?

I’m looking to purchase one of these two tablets. The specs to me seem quite similar so I’m having trouble on deciding between the two. My number one use will probably be to use it as a digital interface to plug my electric guitar into. However, I do plan on doing some gaming on it too. Will the yoga have any problems running games like red dead redemption? What about gta 6 when it’s released? They both run the same snapdragon processor so they should be pretty equal right? I lean towards the yoga tab bc I think I’d prefer the 11” size as well as the included keyboard. But if the gaming capabilities of the legion y700 far out perform the yoga then I may go with that one instead.

I ordered the y700 gen 3 and a lenovo g9 controller (different seller ) on the 20th and i actually received the g9 today (27th) super fast! I'm still waiting on the y700 and its still sitting in china. Is it normal to take this long? Am I way overreacting?
