Request Considering to make the switch from paper to tablet and i'm uncertain on what to get
I’m in my 3rd year of engineering degree. I’ve been debating for about 3 years whether I should make the switch from paper to a tablet.
I love the freedom that paper gives me, and writing everything down by hand definitely helps me retain information better. That said, I’ve reached a point where I’m fed up with carrying around one notebook for lecture notes and another for exercises for every single class. I end up spending more time transcribing information that’s already on the lecture slides just to keep my notes organized than actually listening to the prof and jotting down what they’re explaining. I even get lost in my own notes and struggle to find info across the different notebooks I use because I run out of room in my main one.
Given all of that, I’m pretty sure it’s time for me to make the switch and that this isn’t just a passing thought.
The question now is: which tablet should I get? It needs to meet a few requirements:
- I need stylus support so I can write on it. The stylus should either be included or have a reasonably priced alternative available.
- I need an app/software that lets me write and organize my notes, PDFs, PowerPoint slides, and Word docs.
- File transfer between the tablet and my other devices (phone, laptop) needs to be fairly straightforward.
- The tablet should be intuitive to use and fast enough to handle my workflow without lagging.
- It should be budget-friendly. My target is $350–$500, but I’d be open to stretching it if it's genuinely justified.
My current setup is an HP laptop and a Samsung phone that is seriously overdue for an upgrade (it's 7 years old). If there’s an interesting bundle or promotion that would let me get a tablet and upgrade my phone at the same time, that would definitely catch my eye.
I'm mainly looking for recommendations here since I'm not really in the loop when it comes to tablets. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Review Legion tab g3 is SICK
Just wanted to say this device is totally worth it for those still on the fence. I originally got it to consume media and play old-school rinescape mobile and team fight tactics but I now use it as much as my pc because of its emulation capability.
I have really been enjoying gamenative and emulating pc games.
My current top 3 games on my legion tab are..
Borderlands 2
Soulstone survivors
Old school runescape

Request Torn between Lenovo Idea Tab Pro (matte edition) and Galaxy Tab S10 Lite
Im looking to upgrade the tablet I got last year (Redmi Pad 2) and buy a new one but I'm torn between a Lenovo Idea Tab Pro, the matte edition, and a Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. I mostly use it for note taking în class and graphic work in canva, plus some lightroom, youtube and such.
From what I can tell the only major differences would be the software, which I am aware is better on the Samsung but I use a launcher on my current tablet as well so that doesn't bother me that much, the size itself, the Lenovo being 12.7" and the Samsung 10.9", the storage, 128 gb with 6 gb of ram on Samsung vs 256 gb with 8 gb ram on Lenovo and maybe the performance? The Lenovo does seem more powerfull ith a higher battery capacity. They both come with a pen and are around the same price where I live. I would have to buy a matte screen protector for the Samsung tablet tho, given it doesn't already come with a matte screen like the Lenovo.

Discussion Notetaking app recommendation thats not goodnotes
Hello, so I had an ipad for years where I was using goodnotes. I loved good notes, the ability to input pictures, the handwriting feature, the folders with notebooks, organization, etc. However, my ipad broke and I could not afford a new one so I bought a Lenovo tablet. I have been using it to study for the LSAT but hope to be able to use it for law school because it was so affordable. However my biggest grip is that the handwriting feature in so laggy. It also has shitty palm recognition where it will start moving the picture I inputted when I start writing over it. I do not know if this is because of how goodnotes works on android or just thats not the lenovo tablet works. I would like to try out different notes apps to see if the issue can be fixed bc I would really prefer not to spend $1000ish on an ipad with shitty storage. Can I please get help from a broke prospective student? I am also thinking I might get an galaxy tab because it is still cheaper than an ipad and has great storage. So I would want to see if these apps work for either the lenovo or galaxy android systems
Needs:
-Organization of folders and notebooks
-Needs to be a pretty simple design. I am a long term apple user so when it looks too techy I cannot handle it. One note is the most complicated layout I can stomach.
-HANDWRITING
-Palm recognization
-Ability to insert photos, and pdfs
-Maybe the ability to record audio (not needed but sounds nice so would like to try)
-Ability to sync between android and apple because I have a macbook air.

Discussion How tf does my Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ outperform the Ipad 11-inch A16
So I got the Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ for $180 and the Ipad 11 inch A16 for $250 and I was reading the reviews of both tablets and thought the Ipad would be far better for sure but there's more I actually like about the Samsung tablet. For me, it's faster performance wise for me, it's charges faster, it still has a headphone jack and even though it doesn't have fingerprint sensor I don't really care. The Ipad has better colors but it takes far too long to charge and it has lagged a couple of times whereas the samsung hasn't even lagged once. Does anybody else have a similar experience?

Discussion Does anything beat the Yoga Tab 11" in the US at the ~$400 price range?
What else should I be considering at this price range? General media consumption device at home, multitasking, browsing, etc. No real intense gaming, so passing on the Legion/Y700 series. Love that it comes with a stylus and a keyboard case, but those aren't really deal breakers for me. It seems like the 11" size is a sweet spot for me personally, as a decent chunk of the usage will be in bed/couch and not on a desk.
Does the Yoga Tab Plus even exist anymore? Can't seem to find it anywhere in the US.
Lenovo Tab Pro Gen 2 seems good, but bigger, less RAM/storage, no keyboard. Is having more Android udpates worth these downgrades?
Onn Pro's seem to be out of stock and will probably be jacked up in price if they ever come back.
Samsung seems overpriced.
Would prefer not to have any software issues w/ some of the other Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Oneplus, etc. But do those generally work pretty well in the US?

Discussion New Redmi Pad 2 at 20K INR or Pre Owned (Second Hand) Ipad 10th Gen(64GB) at ~24K INR??
Hey, i am thinking of buying a tablet and have been confused as of lately.
I wont be able to spend more than 25K INR at a tablet as it is my max budget.
My use case
\- Note Taking
\- Watching Lectures
\- Leetcode
\- recording some content for youtube (note app based content)
Note: I have a laptop which have linux and I use it as preferred device. I want to get a secondary device for viewing and others.
Redmi Pad 2
It is a good tablet with a decent processor for normal stuff and but I have seen reviews and they say this tablet will become slow in coming 2-3 years as the software is a bottleneck and it is a budget tablet.
Ipad 10th Gen
I was gonna buy the ipad 11th gen at 32K INR adn decided to wait for sometime to build some budget. However last month they increased price and its now about 49K and at best discounts even it is costing me 43K. So my best bet is to go ipad 10th gen.
Ipads are for longevity and they work great in long term as many of the reviews say and it is on sweetspot as to not too old and not too pricey even. I am getting a great deal at 24K.
What should I go for??

Discussion Good tablets under 30K rupees in India
I'm looking for a good tablet under 30K rupees primarily for watching lectures or making notes. I am not looking for amazing quality for video streaming but it should not be bad either.
Can anyone suggest me some tablets in this price range?
Thankss
Also a question, if I want to edit stuff or make 3D models, can a tablet under ₹30k handle it?

Discussion Magic pad 4 vs idea tab pro gen 2
Hello,
I'm looking for a tablet for mostly watching Netflix and YouTube. But my newest interest is also emulation. But only old consoles like switch.
So nr 1 prio is media consumption
And a little bit of switch emulation
I can get the idea tab pro gen 2 for 430 euro and the magic pad for 580 euro. Do u think the Oled display is Worth around 150 euro?
Or is the idea tab LCD already pretty decent?

Discussion Which tablet should I get?
I have to make a decision preferably today so I really need some help.
I mainly wanna use it for video editing and drawing (idk if what I wanna edit is considered light or not, but I use alight motion and when I use it on my phone it gets really laggy with like 4 layers so I’m not able to properly do the stuff I wanna do like transition edits)
I also wanna play Minecraft on it
These are the tablets on my list:
Lenovo yoga tab plus 16GB ram 256GB storage including keyboard and pen for €599
https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/tablet-lenovo-yoga-tab-plus-12-7-snapdragon-8-gen-3-16-gb-ram-256-gb/9300000229108561/?referrer=socialshare_pdp_iphoneapp
I’ve heard concerns about this one not lasting as long and also the pen not being the best (is that fixable by getting a different pen?
Samsung galaxy tab s10 FE 8GB ram 256GB storage for €549 including pen
https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/samsung-galaxy-tab-s10-fe-wifi-256gb-gray/9300000226446773/?referrer=socialshare_pdp_iphoneapp
not a big fan of Samsung but I heard the pen works better so it would be more convenient for drawing, but I’m not a fan of the 8GB ram because I feel like it wouldnt make that much of a difference since my phone has 4GB ram and does horrible in alight motion as well as ibis paint
Lenovo yoga tab 12GB ram 256GB storage including pen for €355
https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/lenovo-yoga-tab-11-1-inch-256gb-12gb-luna-grey-incl-pen/9300000240201855/?referrer=socialshare_pdp_iphoneapp
Big price drop from the plus and from what I know the difference isn’t too crazy. And I could always get the keyboard separately afterwards
XIAOMI Pad 8 12GB ram 256GB storage for €526 no accessories included
https://amzn.eu/d/0hD2haFz
I haven’t looked into this one a whole lot but I’m putting it on here in case someone knows more about it. Price doesn’t seem great compared to the others but hey what do I know😅
I’m Interested in pirates as well🏴☠️I’ve heard Apple doesn’t really support pirates so idk how it works for other devices
Tysm to anyone that takes the time to help me :) if any additional information is needed please let me know!

Discussion Y700 charging question
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello.
I recently purchased an 8 GEN 1 Y700, and when I use the port that is down when you hold it vertically, it doesn't charge if I use an over 100 W charger. The charger works correctly with other devices, but not with this one with this port. The other port works normally, and when I use a max 100W charger, everything works properly.
Every charger is UGREEN, GaN, tested with other phones and 2 Legion Go.
Charger 1: https://amzn.eu/d/0emC8TO
Charger2: https://amzn.eu/d/08xUTgTH
Charger 3: https://amzn.eu/d/00gFDfCP
Does anyone know why?

Image Is this a good deal?
I’m in the need of a tablet for some light school stuff, reading, and entertainment purposes. My budget is roughly around $200 or less. I found this tablet on sale at Best Buy and was wondering if this was worth it for the money?

Discussion Galaxy Tab A9+ vs. Amazon Fire Max 11
Hello, I needed a tablet for light school work when I travel. Basically Zoom and Canvas. I just bought a Galaxy tablet and an Amazon fire tablet. They are both used in good condition. I’m going to give you the information of both.
Galaxy Tab A9+:
Screen: 11 inches
Storage: 64GB
RAM: 4GB
Fire Max 11:
Screen: 11 inches
Storage: 128GB
RAM: 4GB
So far I only received the Galaxy. That being said, it’s pretty laggy. Everything looks okay, but it literally lags when I lock it, unlock it, and charge it.
AI is saying to keep the galaxy instead of the fire anyway because it’s better for school. But I don’t 100% trust AI. So I want all ya’ll opinions. If the Amazon fire runs smooth. Which would you keep?
P.S. I also heard you can download Google Play on an Amazon tablet 🤷🏻♀️
P.P.S. The Galaxy always lights up and plays the T-Mobile jingle when powering on and off. Kinda annoying.

Discussion Suggest some tablet for gaming
I’ve been thinking about buying an iPad, but I already regret buying the iPhone 15 because I feel like if I’m going to buy an Apple device, I should’ve gone for a higher-end model. So now I’m hesitant about getting an iPad for the same reason.
Instead, I’m thinking of buying a tablet mainly for gaming. I was considering the Realme Pad 7, but I’m also looking at other good gaming tablets. What would you recommend?
