I was waiting for maybe 20 minutes and saw 1. Then, as I was talking to Lobo for 20 seconds, I swear 6 went by.

This is why I spent the time to find my weather seed! Now I know exactly when am I shooting stars will arrive, down to the second.

A weather seed is what determines your exact weather patterns and will inform you of what you’ll get on any given day. It takes a bit of effort to do, but the more special weather patterns help to reduce how many different seeds it might be.

It might take up to 2 weeks to finish, but it’s well worth it. If you time travel, you can have it done in a few hours. Slightly tedious because you will be resetting the time and backing out of the game multiple times through out the day till it determines that you’ve narrowed the options enough to define a “weather day” that can correlate with a number of weather seeds.

Thanks for giving the explanation while I was asleep!

This is what it looks like once you have it. I don't generally time travel, but I did spend an afternoon committing time crimes to figure out my seed. Be sure to read all the info on the Seed tab, it will help determine what type of weather you have.

Or diving for sea creatures. It literally starts when I'm several squares from shore, and the second I get out it stops for 30 minutes.
