need help identifying.

I bought this beautiful olive oil and vinegar silver and glass set during my summer travels to Aix-en-Provence, France. Was wondering if anyone had some information for me, the seller did not speak english and I was able to understand a few between my spanish and english.

I know it is silver plated, and by the markings in the silver could be Armand Frenais.

The seller told me it was Baccarat but does not have markings, did some research and it said that when Frenais and Baccarat “worked” together, Baccarat only marked with production numbers, which it has. Estimating from last 19th century to early 20th.

The glass is blown glass and it is nicely carved. It has number markings in each bottle and stoppers.

Is there anything here that could help identify if it is Baccarat? Is there a more clear story around the years it was made? What could be the estimated value, I am keeping it for my own collection but always good to know.

Hello Folks, I want to sell this but I'm having trouble pricing it . Chat GPT says it's was a water fountain feature where the mouth had water coming out, it also says it's worth about $5000.00 trying to do research on it and it keeps coming up with cast iron Lions Head.. but this is made from wood.. It home was in a German restaurant downtown San Antonio Tx. The restaurant was open for over 80 to 100years .. I love it but I'm coming up on some hard times and seeing if it's worth selling or should I get it refurbished? Does anyone know anything about antique wood carvings? Also I couldn't find a signature anywhere.

I thrifted this pewter ewer in northern Virginia a couple of years ago and I haven’t had any luck identifying the maker’s mark. It’s about 11 inches at the tallest and 6” wide including the handle. I assumed it’s German from the maker’s mark but I’m not sure beyond that. I would love any insight anyone has on dating it and the maker. Thanks!

Hello, I have this collage of three small drawings of monkeys acting like humans.

It was given to me by my parents, and found among a bunch of random old stuff during a move.

There are two initials D.C. at the bottom right of the largest drawing.

I don't have pics of the back as they are glued onto cardboard.

I know the singerie theme has a long history, but I'd like to see if I can date or locate these drawings' origin a bit better with your help.

Hello, new here. 👋 Recently purchased this hutch from a local antique seller. Seller stated 1800 mahogany hutch. I have done some research and it seems like late 1800s (1880-1900) is most likely. However most of what I am finding that is similar is located outside the US. So curious if anyone knows anything about the provenance of something like this? It seems like a pretty standard design, just curious if there is more to learn about it. No markings on the back or top. I didn’t have a chance to check the underside and won’t be able to. I inherited this barrister bookcase from a relative previously studying law. I’ve looked it up, I think I know its value, but… Where would I even start to sell such an item? And do regular people still purchase them or is it more of an office/business type of item? Thanks!

I live in the United States. I know about timelines reputation but this has also been on timeline auctions and from David donlan. My concern is shipping. The item is a jar that’s about 1 5/8ths of an inch. If you have a similar thing I would appreciate the shipping cost. Thank you

I inherited this cool desk from my uncle (originally my grandmother’s and her father’s previously). The desk has lived on the Eastern Shore of MD for its whole life afaik.

I remember as a kid someone showed me a secret compartment in a desk like this. It may have been my other grandmother’s desk though.
However the center drawers are far shallower than they need to be and there is a raised wood piece in the back of one of the drawers on the right side (none of the others). Anyone familiar with common mechanisms for this sort of thing?
I definitely don’t want to damage th e desk, so have been gentle with the thing that may (or may not) be a switch.
