Hey! I’m living in Antwerp, and I’d like to meet some new people around my age.

I’m somewhere between an introvert and an extrovert, I enjoy having interesting conversations and spending time with people, but I also appreciate quiet and more low-key activities.

I’m into books, good music, writing, design, psychology and philosophy, but I’m pretty open-minded and always interested in discovering something new. I speak Dutch and would also be happy to practise English and French together. Could be anything really: grabbing a coffee or a drink, going for a walk, checking out an exhibition or concert, playing board games, or just having a good conversation somewhere.

I am fresh new to Antwerp and I am kinda desperate to find a tennis club so far. A bit about me, I have spent three years in Brussels but I did not join any due to my busy schedule, I used to book a 2-hour hitting with friends but not really competitive. Now I am having more time and look forward to play more so I am looking for a club and a group to play with. It has been quite hard cause I only speak English so far (still learning Dutch) and also advanced level (been at it for 10 years). Do you have any suggestions so far? Really appreciate it!

Is there something like a main WhatsApp group for the whole school or groups for graphic design (my field)?

Or just in general, what platforms do Belgian student use for communication?

Hi all, single male, late 20s, working full-time for context on my situation.

Looking at a place near Plantin en Moretuslei (next to Mix Markt/ Provinciestraat intersection) and wanted to get some opinions from people who actually live around there.

Not really looking for stuff I can already find on Google Maps (I know it's a busy road, I've checked the transport options, shops around). I'm more interested in the stuff you only know if you actually live around the area:

• Is it actually safe walking home late at night, or is that block a bit sketchy?
• Any specific corners/parts of the street to avoid vs the nicer bits?
• Neighbours/building culture: chill or drama? how visible is homelessness in the area? community vibe?
• Anything that surprised you (good or bad) after you moved in that you wish someone had told you beforehand?
• Would you recommend for or against moving here, and why?

Is it closing or moving places? Its was such an amazing book store. What a shame to see it closing.

Hey Antwerp! After sending what feels like my 100th CV into the corporate void, I’ve decided to put algorithms aside and ask real humans directly. I’m based in Antwerp, fully authorized to work in Belgium (no visa sponsorship needed), and ready to start immediately.

On paper, I have a Bachelor’s in Biology with solid cleanroom and sterile sampling experience, but I’m just as comfortable with IT helpdesk troubleshooting, data management, and driving (I hold a clean Category B license). My English is fluent, my Dutch is in progress, and I learn new workflows unusually fast.

I’m genuinely open to various opportunities: lab technician or food/pharma sampling, QC/QA, IT support, driving/logistics, data administration, or any hands-on operational role. Simple entry-level jobs or anything I can quickly learn on the job are completely fine by me as well.

Basically I'm learning how to drive a motorcycle at the Antwerpse Rijschool and it's not going well, I have a hard time communicating with the instructors, there is a clear language barrier and some other issues.I would have loved to get to learn how to handle a bike by myself a little bit more.

Is there anyone out there around Antwerp on its great goodness who would agree to teach me some about driving a motorcycle ?

I know it's a very weird thing to ask but that would be very nice from anyone willing to accept and I would be deeply grateful
