The linear algebra bit is a psycho-Maths Olympiad nightmare. 30% failed, massive dropout. They don’t understand how women learn. What’s wrong with this department?

Pretty sure when I took linear algebra more than a decade ago, it was a woman who taught half the course. Also, IMO, first year courses should have high drop out rates, first year is where people find out what they are interested in. So many people taking CS wanted to learn how to make games, but that isn’t what computer science is about.
