An app that uses truckers, rv/van life people, or others who make long commutes to ship small packages or mail for a cheaper price. Also could create magnetic mounted bins that are attached to trains when scaled up. If your really good can make a device that rides the tracks while still allowing trains to pass over it to ship packages and mail and can make a deal with Amazon Walmart etc.

App would either blank out the persons WhatsApp pfp you don't want to see anymore, or allow you to add a picture of your own that you'd like their pfp to be. Would only change it on your phone ofcourse.

It would be a sort of mental health app as some people have reasons for not wanting to see certain peoples profile picture.

I'm thinking about building a small app around a simple problem: people often say "we should do this sometime", but nothing actually gets planned.

You could save things you'd like to do - drinks, restaurants, trips, concerts, activities, etc.

If a friend independently saves the same thing, both of you get a mutual match. Then you can choose a common time and turn it into an actual plan.

It could also work for spontaneous plans like "drinks tonight".

What is it? -

TheQuietCorner is a social platform designed around the idea that meeting people shouldn't require you to present yourself to the world. There are no swipes, popularity scores, follower counts, or endless profile cards. Instead, you simply go somewhere.

The somewhere doesn't have to exist physically. You might be sitting at home reading a book while your phone is open to the Library. You might actually be sitting in a library. The app doesn't need to know. You simply enter a Corner and exist there.

The idea -

What if meeting someone didn't begin with presenting yourself to them?

Traditional social and dating platforms begin with profiles: your best photograph, your best bio, your interests, your statistics. TheQuietCorner reverses the process.

First comes the shared environment. Then the encounter. Then the conversation. Then, if both people want it, gradually getting to know each other.

The Corners -

Possible Corners include the Library, Café, Park, Arcade, Studio, and Home. Each can contain

smaller contexts such as Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Romance, Just browsing, Reading, Drawing, Music, or simply Sitting.

The user should never feel as though they are operating a matchmaking algorithm. There are no giant population counters or competitive interfaces. Instead, the environment quietly communicates its atmosphere: "The library seems quiet today..." or "The library feels a little more alive than usual..."

Encountering strangers -

You are sitting in the Fantasy section. You notice a stranger. You don't know their name, face, or biography. Perhaps you know only a few voluntarily shared details, such as approximate age and hobbies.

"You notice a stranger while in the fantasy section."

[Approach] [Maybe next time]

Maybe you approach. Maybe you don't. [Maybe next time] is deliberately not a rejection. The person remains a stranger and may be encountered again later. The same person might be seen ten, twenty, or a hundred times before either person decides to talk.

The encounter system -

The system works quietly in the background. It chooses who notices whom and prevents one person from being overwhelmed by multiple simultaneous approaches. The user never sees rounds, queues, numbers, matchmaking scores, or algorithmic machinery. They are simply present in the Corner.

This allows real-life-like asymmetry. Two people can notice each other independently. One may

choose [Maybe next time] while the other chooses to approach. On another occasion, the roles may reverse.

Conversation -

"A stranger approaches you"

[Engage] [Smile and look away]

If both sides engage, the app simply says: You begin a conversation with the stranger. There is no artificial "match" celebration. Two people have simply decided to talk.

From stranger to familiar -

A relationship is allowed to develop naturally: stranger, conversation, familiarity, friendship, romance, or nothing at all. None of these are achievements or required outcomes.

Someone you have already spoken with can appear again. Instead of a stranger encounter, you might simply see:

"You notice Alex. You can [nod] or [wave]"

You might talk, or you might simply continue what you were doing. Familiarity exists without obligation.

At any point, either person can choose [Become strangers again] The conversation ends, access is withdrawn, and the system remembers that these two people should not be introduced to each other again.

Privacy as a progression -

The only mandatory profile information is hobbies. Everything else is optional: name, nickname, age, height, photograph, interests, and personal content.

Information is something the user gives rather than something the application takes. A person may gradually grant access to parts of their Home: artwork, music, writing, photography, books, or other hobbies.

The profile isn't a résumé. It's a house with doors, and the user holds the keys.

Home -

Home is the user's personal space. The Corners are where people meet, Home is where someone

can choose to let another person meet them. Access is granted intentionally and can be controlled by the user.

The physical world is optional -

TheQuietCorner does not need to know where the user physically is. Someone at home can be in the Library. Someone actually sitting in a library can also be in the Library. Two people may even discover that they were physically in the same place at the same time without the app ever knowing.The digital Corner is a social environment, not a location service. The user may use it as a bridge toward real-world interaction, or remain entirely inside the digital space.

Safety -

Safety should be quiet, contextual, and empowering rather than frightening. The application should never imply that TheQuietCorner is inherently safe while the outside world is inherently dangerous. It

should instead help users remember that they have control.

Users can remain anonymous, walk away, stop a conversation, revoke permissions, become

strangers again, trust their instincts, or continue talking entirely inside the app. If a conversation

appears to be moving toward an offline meeting, the application can gently remind both people that they do not have to share anything they are uncomfortable sharing and can choose to remain in the Corner.

Identity and age verification, reporting, blocking, moderation, temporary restrictions, and other

technical safeguards can exist behind the scenes. Their purpose is to protect users without turning the application into a constant warning system.

What The Quiet Corner is not -

It is not Tinder with different graphics. It is not a dating simulator. It is not a promise that strangers are trustworthy. It is not a replacement for real life. It is not a system that decides who someone should love.

It is also not designed to force interaction. Someone can enter a Corner, talk to nobody, read their book, listen to the ambience, and leave. That is a perfectly valid use of the application.

The principles -

• Participation does not require exposure.

• Presence does not require interaction.

• Interaction does not require immediate disclosure.

• Disclosure is voluntary.

• Leaving is always allowed.

• Relationships are outcomes, not objectives.

The core idea -

You don't have to go outside to go somewhere.

You don't have to talk to someone to be around them.

You don't have to show yourself to be seen.

I've been building a web app, a side project that pulls reviews for a product from multiple sources (right now Amazon and YouTube comments, more sources coming) and flags patterns that tend to show up in fake or bot-driven reviews things like a sudden burst of near-identical 5-star reviews in a short window.

Instead of just spitting out a single "trust score," it tries to show its work: which specific pattern triggered a flag, and why. It also generates a plain-language summary of what genuine reviewers actually said, built only from the reviews that didn't get flagged.

I'm not trying to sell anything here genuinely looking for feedback before I put more time into it. A few things I'd love opinions on:

I’m exploring an idea and want to see if this is actually useful before building it.

The concept is a searchable database of software products and their history — what happened after they launched, whether they stayed active, pivoted, were acquired, shut down, or simply disappeared.

For example, you could search:

“AI calendar app”

and see similar products that were tried before, along with signals such as:

- Which ones are still active
- Which ones shut down or became dormant
- Which ones pivoted or were acquired
- How their positioning, pricing, or features changed
- Any known reasons they succeeded or failed

Founder postmortems or growth stories when available
The goal would be to answer questions like:

- Has this idea already been tried many times?
- What happened to those products?
- Why did some fail while others survived?
- What patterns can I learn before building something similar?
- Is this category growing, declining, or repeatedly producing failed products?

The data would be assembled from publicly available sources rather than requiring founders to submit their products.

Most of free functionalities available on smartphones and internet are not designed to be useful, but to be used as mush as possible.

Nowadays phone addction has epidemic numbers. With an average screen time greater than 4 hours per days, mainly on social-media, a lot of physical and mental issues arises: eye strain, neck pain, headache, insomnia, anxiety, social disconnection, reduced brain activity. Those symptoms are well-known to us, since nearly 60% of people would like to reduce their screen time.

We are aware of issues and we would like to quit, but we couldn’t, because phones are designed to be addictive.

So I started to think about solutions to remove this addiction.

My thought started from the assumption that you cannot pretend that a smoker will quit cigarettes only by let them know health related damages or by focusing on their will. Our biology is stronger than that.

As all habits screen addiction follows this cycle:

• Signal is the thing that trigger the process, in our case can be signals can be endogenous, i.e. starts from the phone itself like a notification, or exogenous, i.e. it depends from external situation like boredom during a class break or other coded situations
• Routine which is the action itself, like scrolling on Instagram or looking for some massages or curiosity or the ghost using (in which you don’t even remember what you are supposed to do)
• Reward is the fuel that boost the process. It enforces the signal and routine by fixing them in your head, in our case are the micro-gratifications in reading a curiosity, approval (as a like on social media) or social attention (just arrived a message) and engagement in general

In order to break our screen addiction, we need to act on those three steps, because unfortunately we cannot remove completely the phone from our lives nowadays (just think about important messaging, payments, MFAs and so on)

My idea is to build a launcher which acts as middleware from us and our phone, designed in a way which prevents unintended uses.

The first functionality is the notification filter, which mitigates the endogenous signals. This filter takes as input all notification and then, through a local LLM, categorize them: news, social media, system alert generated by machines (like MFAs, payment summary or reminders), human chats and so on. Then based on our needs, we can configure an action, like «thrash» for useless one, «defer» for those useful but not urgent (notify later) and «ring» for those notifications that require attention as soon as possible.

For exogenous signals like boredom we can apply strategies for replacing the routine completely, but it depends by our own habits and signals.

The second one, which is the core functionality, regulates the access to the app on our phone. The idea is to have an homepage which contains just a text box, in which we must declare our intent, i.e. the reason why we unlocked our phone. Then the system, through an LLM run locally, understands which app or the information we need. It should work like a router, which show apps, retrieve information from internet or block the request based on our prompt. Also here there must be a sort of prompt configuration in which we state some constraint, e.g. «I can use youtube only 20 mins among 10pm and 11pm»

Another function on this topic, which I don’t know if it can be useful (lmk), is a sort of «proof of will», in which for specific apps we must demonstrate the actual will to use and not just ‘cause we’re bored. The proof should be a time and brain consuming task, like a mini game.

Finally, there should be some functionalities that lowers the positive reward given by the phone usage, e.g. bad noises or gray-scale screen when we surpass a time threshold, or giving some positive reward about not using the phone, e.g. some alert about lost alternatives (like «You could have done XYZ instead of using the phone») or the time saved with respect to national average screen time.

Of course all those functionalities must be protected in some way, for example by a code/password set by a friend or relative, or if not possible by an external system (like a remote server, I don’t know).

From the research I’ve done this concept is different from the already existing apps, which mainly focus on blocking the apps in some periods of time (like ScreenZen or Digital Detox apps) rather than act on the full habit process.

Maybe you know the problem. A colleague has an anniversary or will leave the company or you have join present from a group for a bithday. You have greeting card and every one should sign it physically. All the people are distributed and not on the same place. This I try to solve with the greeting card app. Solution: Collect signatures digital and use print on demand to have a physical result.

Basically you create a card and and share a link to other who can sign the card. The app will offer a simple signature canvas where you draw your signature with your finger or cursor. At the end the user can order a high quality card via print on demand.

Every social platform treats your life like a feed... newest post on top, everything older buried and forgotten. I've been sketching out something different: a personal timeline where every memory or moment you save adds to your own ongoing thread. Instead of scrolling a feed, you scroll your life, in order, from your first entry to today. That life, is your very own String.

A few pieces of it:

• Different knot types for different kinds of moments; a memory, a thought, an achievement, a hard day, a milestone
• Your profile isn't followers/following, it's the length of your string and how many knots you've tied
• Two people can share a knot for something they experienced together; a trip, a relationship, a friendship ;so you can literally see where your life intersected with someone else's
• No algorithm, no infinite scroll — you navigate your own life by time

Still very early, no app obviously exists yet. Genuinely just trying to figure out if this is something people would want before I build anything.

People vent a lot of frustration at work, it would be interesting if people could do that anonymously (or not) on their phone with everyone not just their small group they work with. So you could put up a QR code at work that people could scan (might need to explain what it is so people aren't afraid to scan) which takes them to download the app or the website or whatever. There they can pick choose a name and anonymously complain and shame management and others can comment. So it's basically Reddit but more anonymous and limited to people you work with.

I’m building a micro-tool that automatically and firmly chases down late-paying clients via email/SMS until they click a Stripe link to pay. Including initiating legal course of action after final notice warning is ignored. Would you use this, and what is your biggest headache with unpaid invoices? Would you pay for something like this to chase down invoice debts so you could continue making more money and not worry about missed opportunities while I get you what is yours.? What if it was for only 2% of the invoiced amount only if successful in acquired the payment throught the Free upfront services. No other payment necessary. I made a multi-agent visualizer as part of a Hackathon, instead of a plain progress log, each agent gets an animated persona which you can track visually to see what they are doing. I suppose my goal would be to make a more accessible and fun way for beginners to start interfacing with more complex AI systems but would be nice to get some feedback if I should continue building this out!

I'm building a social sports platform for recreational football, basketball, tennis, etc.

I want to add an Elo-like rating system, but I'm worried about fake scores and people farming rating with their friends.

My current idea: Host enters the final score. Host can't vote on it. Players have 24 hours to Confirm or Reject. If enough players vote and 60%+ confirm, the score becomes VERIFIED. Otherwise it's UNVERIFIED and doesn't affect rating.

For farming, I'm thinking about comparing recent rosters. If mostly the same group keeps playing each other within 7 days, the rating gain gets reduced:

1st match: 100% 2nd: 50% 3rd: 25% 4th+: 0%

I'm also considering a separate reliability score based on how often a player's vote agrees with verified results. This would be separate from their skill rating.

Do you think this is overkill? What would be a better way to:

I've also considered photos/videos, QR check-ins, venue confirmation, or random audits.
