I’m looking for advice from people who have dealt with AppleCare+ and Apple Authorised Service Providers in India.

What happened

While I was using the MacBook, the screen suddenly went black and started showing green squares/artifacts. The MacBook then stopped functioning normally.

I did not drop the MacBook or have any incident involving liquid exposure.

I took it to iVenus under AppleCare+.

Initial diagnosis and repair

iVenus initially diagnosed the MacBook and replaced the charging port, but the problem remained.

They then sent the MacBook to their service centre in Bangalore for further diagnosis.

After around 2 days, I was told the diagnosis was still ongoing and that it could take around another 10 days for the next stage.

I was also told that if the logic board needed to be replaced, there was a possibility of losing my data.

Liquid damage finding

The service centre subsequently identified liquid damage, and the repair was put on hold.

The problem is that I did not observe or have any incident involving liquid exposure to the MacBook.

Because of the liquid-damage finding, I was given a repair/service quote of approximately ₹25,900.

I have AppleCare+, so I am trying to understand why I am being asked to pay this amount.

I contacted Apple Support and explained the entire situation. I was eventually connected with a senior Apple Support/manager-level representative, who said they would be taking over/escalating my case.

I also contacted iVenus.

I asked to see the evidence/photos of the alleged liquid damage. iVenus told me that they cannot send me the photos, but they can show them to me on their device when I visit the service centre.

Where things stand now

The repair is currently on hold while the case is being reviewed/escalated.

I have asked iVenus to proceed with the repair under AppleCare+, because I did not have any liquid exposure incident.

I am currently being quoted ₹25,900 service fee for the repair.

I bought the Iphone 17 Sage ( 512 GB) and within 10 months of use battery is down by 3 percent. Just a month ago it was 100 percent 😢

Wanted to upgrade to a proper flagship

I Once had a proper flagship killer K20 pro they don't make phones like that anymore

So the options got very bad after price hikes

Every iPhone is selling almost at MRP's

I didn't want to go more than a year old phone

S series - Exynos and line issues

Pixel - mid processor

Is there any chance price will drop in the future or will the 18 base will be worthhy of 90K well that puts in S ultra series segment so I really don't know

I’m planning to upgrade from my iPhone 12 (base 128GB) which I have been since it's launch back in 2020.

I’m currently stuck between two options:

1. iPhone 17 (base variant) + Apple Watch SE 3
   
2. iPhone 17 Pro (base variant)

My main priority is long-term use. I am planning to keep the next phone for around 4–5 years. So I want to make the choice that makes more sense over that period.

Storage is not a major concern for me. I am not someone who takes a lot of photos or videos.

I am considering the Apple Watch SE 3 because I have never owned an Apple Watch and it would be a nice addition to the iPhone.

Zomato has the option for Apple Pay. You can’t actually use it. You get “transaction declined” but it seems it’s officially coming.

Edit: for those who can’t see the option, just wait till the official launch, it’s not functional anyways. I have a crypto card added in Wallet so maybe that’s why I was able to see it.

Which is the best case for iphone besides spigen & official Apple silicon case

I just got a macbook air m5 8 core, 516gb. Lots of haggling later I got it for 129,400 w/o educational discount for gst claim. Used icici credit card for 10k off. With gst claim my nets around 106000. Good deal?

I ordered this usb c adapter from Zepto last night, I found “made in Vietnam” , “designed in California” lettering on either side of the adapter cable.
It works fine when I connect my Sony earphones 3.5mm through it but most of the times I get a constant crack crack crack low sound.
Can anyone check if the adapter is original?
