questions and help Performance Issue
Hey,
Lately I’ve been dealing with this pop up that says „Updating 3D“ and it takes a long time to process the 3D model.
Although my computer can run the program perfectly alright and I used Revit before which I never had this issue before.
Are there any optimisations for Archicad I should be aware of ? Or any solution to fix this issue ? It really eats up on my time.
Thank you.
Update: Performance improved after changing the mode to Turbo and enabling CPU Boost.

I think there are too many solid operations in the plan.

I mean yes. The terrain has various elevations so I had to make a few solid operations in order to design the project.

Be sure that you aren’t selecting elements that are not involved in the solid elements operation, sometimes we find it easier to select everything against the terrain, but even if it’s not intersecting, it still gets calculated every time.

No. I’m definitely sure that I only select the elements that are meant to be involved. But I noticed that clearing off the temp folder and doing some cleanup, helps a bit but I don’t understand as I used Revit for so many years yet I never encountered such issue.

Hello,
If you get the same with section views, that mean there are too many polygonrs into your model.
Try to change your model view definition options and it might be better.

Update: Apparently I was using my laptop on the Balanced mode with the CPU Boost disabled. Now I turned it on and changed to the Turbo mode, and I’m seeing big improvement to the performance even though I still have my GPU mode set to Standard rather than Ultimate.

in my experience thats just part of the archicad experience.
other tools load and display similar projects in no time.
happy to be corrected here!
