questions and help Help with solid element operations

I have attached an image showing the problem. The foundation in the axonometry is not showing the slabs despite using solid element operations on it. Anyone who can offer some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried reducing the layer priority and/or building material for the ground terrain?

I have tried clearing the SEO and redoing it,, and still the same problem...even asked AI to help me figure out the issue, and still nothing

Check whether you get the same result in a true section. What you see might here just be a cutaway view glitch in that render mode.

Also check you don't have too many elements selected as operators when SEO subtracting (e.g. ensure you are not inadvertently selecting a group where many operators are not even touching the ground. ).

Since the site is evidently flat, you could try modelling it with a slab and use materials priorities to do the cutting, (materials priority still does not work with meshes, ridiculously)

seo can be useful but should be avoided when possible. in your case you should model the site and your foundations more precisely

I used complex profiles to model the foundation and footing. So the question is how doing get them to appear on the cut

you are seo-ing your model from the site and that is not the right way to model. the site should stop at the buiilding edges and you have to model different site elements under the building. seos should only be used for small parts when nothing else works.

I struggle with foundations on each project. Its a bit of a shame that the software does not have a native way to deal with this problem. At a minimum it woudl be great if there was a write up directly from Graphisoft showing the preferred method for dealing with this condition.

Part of the issue is that if you model everything separately around the foundations you have to spend hours on cleanup if the design of the foudation changes. It really should work in a way that can rapidly update.
