There are always more sinks and toilets than hand driers, and getting your hands properly dry takes a while.

How long do you spend drying your hands? How long is it acceptable to spend if there are others waiting? Do you do a swift trouser wipe to remove dampness, or continue moistly on your way?

Why can't we just have paper towels (or roller towels) to avoid this?

Hello there! I’m a curious young Yank looking into my family history. One of my ancestors claimed Bishop’s Stortford as his home before sailing west across the Atlantic to found Andover Massachusetts in the 1600s. From there his progeny spread eventually to my current home in the Rocky Mountains.

I’ve always been fascinated by the history of the United Kingdom, sadly I’ve never had the opportunity to explore your beautiful country.

What is Bishop’s Stortford like? Climate, geography, culinary contributions to the country, notable people, famous musical pieces, architecture, the works! I’d love to learn anything I can about it before I eventually come to visit. :D

Saw a few clips from the world cup of Europeans absolutely raving about ranch, like drinking it straight out of the bottle. It's the most common dressing here in the states, if a restaurant has nothing else they have ranch.
