I'm not happy that I need to say this, but I've realized I have to.
Medical care is available for everyone, regardless of circumstance. The ER is intended not just to be an emergency center, but the most accessible way to get help.
If you need help, or you have a concern for your health, you are entitled to ER treatment.
Anyone who tells you that ER treatment is for life or death situation, or emergency only is misinformed or jaded in their career.
Elderly patients frequently go days or weeks without seeking care, because they are ingrained that they are a burden on who they are asking for help.
This is unacceptable and it's in complete contrast to one of the fundamentals of modern healthcare, which is patient centered care. The patient is the entire focus. Thinking they should have gone somewhere else is your focus. Thinking they are a burden is a facility focus. The focus is the patient. If someone with a toothache thinks they need emergency care, then they get it. They may not have access to anything else.
I will be removing comments that state ER visits are not something someone should consider, as misinformation, from now on unless there is a very clear and definable reason why the individual is misinformed about their situation.

So around April2026 I had no condom sex with a female and after she told me she was starting her period or already on it , may 5th-6th 2026 I had bad diarrhea. After that I started getting the tongue sores in my mouth , that feels like I burt my tongue, the come an go , in the same two spots on my tongue, the tip & side of my tongue, these spots leave an come back every 2 days . But I took 2 oraquick test the first one I ready the label wrong an I swabbed the inside of my top lip and bottom lip and the second time I swabbed my gums but I think like 10-15 mins before the test I drunk a little bit of water. Each test I did I waited 20 mins for one to complete and then did the other test . Both came back negative but I’m just scared ,. From April till the OraQuick test is about 4-5 months time frame

Pics 1&2 are groin, 3 is back of thigh, 4 is back of calf.
So a few days ago I noticed a rash/itchy red bumps on the back of my thigh and calf. I get these kinds of bumps on my thighs every couple years, usually chalk it up to a rash from stress or sweat. But just tonight I noticed the red dots on my groin and I am freaking out. They aren’t super painful and don’t itch unless I touch them. I have a Telehealth appointment with planned parenthood tomorrow. I don’t have health insurance, but will see what they say and hopefully get swabbed and tested for herpes just in case.
I am worried because I was raped 2 months ago. Got a normal std panel and Pap smear a month later (not including herpes test) and had a UTI and BV if that makes any difference. Should I be freaking out or am I overreacting?

I am at my wits end with this issue. Normal tests: 2x CT with contrast, 2x ultrasound, 3x Blood Test, Cardiac Workup, Upper EGD, 3x physical exams. Abnormal tests: HIDA Scan 93 % EF, EGD showed chronic reflux and gastritis, liver enzymes (ALT) mildly elevated most recently compared to baseline but still in normal range (45). Additional symptom I forgot to mention: pain/ dc radiating to right shoulder. All symptoms come in flares of like multiple hours or days. The only meds that I take are bentyl 2x a day, welchol 2x a day, tylenol as needed, and protonix in morning. Only bentyl rly helps with flares (I am assuming it relaxes the gallbladder). Symptoms have really worsened (debilitating) over the last 1-2 weeks as I am on vacation. I am really considering surgery after meeting with the surgeon 2 times and he mentioned that he has taken out hyperkinetic GBS before but it is not certain removal will resolve symtpoms. I am a engineering student and the brain fog and fatigue is really interfering with my academic performance and job as well at this point. I am on here looking for more opinions and thoughts on whether or not I should proceed with removal and if there are any alternatives. I do not want to take out an organ if it is not truly necessary but I dont think I can continue living with these symptoms as life is truly bad. Thank you guys.

No picture, but on my right hand, my ring finger is tender and somewhat swollen on the side near my middle finger, it's red, it's warm, and there's a small area with a crusty scab that hurts whenever literally anything touches it. I can't go to the doctor because I can't afford to miss school for something that might not be a big deal, but it hurts so bad please help!
