Weakened state

Is it normal to be feeling such a loss of body strength, is more intentional exercise needed to make up for the missing testosterone?

Late changes

After 5 years of on/off HRT with no anti androgen I decided to get an orchiectomy. Three years later and taking 2mg x 2, I swear I have growth pain again and puffy areola. Can I possibly starting tanner 4? No progesterone and a clean mammogram.

Highly suspected NCCAH, what options do I have?

So despite a very high dose of EEn (8mg, weekly) and 0.5mg Dutasteride, I continue to remasculise at an alarming rate, and my T levels keep rising, even with increases in E dose.

in February of this year my E was 425 pmol and my T was 0.888 nmol, this was at a dose of 6mg.

in July at a dose of 7.2mg, increased to such after getting my levels in February, my levels were 812 pmol and 1.2 nmol (already rising)

then last week i got my bloods done again and my levels were 1190 pmol and 1.8(!!!!) nmol, this was after another dosage increase to 8mg. i’m so confused??? i added dutasteride in the time between those last 2 blood tests but a 50% rise in T is way beyond what is projected on duta, and as you can see it was already rising before then….

so now im pretty sure i have nccah, but i cannot afford nor have the access to an endo to get it officially diagnosed, leaving me with what feels like no option other than detransition. i’ve ordered bica and am hoping/praying that it will solve my issues… im still experiencing breast tenderness/growth which is even more confusing. i just want my transition/life back, this is dominating everything for me right now. things were going perfectly for 11 months…

fwiw my gonads are completely suppressed and my DHT is <0.17nmol

my symptoms:

- Acne on my face/back/chest/belly/arms

- Dramatically faster body and facial hair growth (post-10 laser sessions, it's like i had 0)

- I'm losing scalp hair rapidly

- I'm getting night/morning erections every single day

- I'm sweating a ridiculous amount

- Body Odour is back

- My skin is greasy/flaky and my sebderm has returned for the first time since starting E

Just started but have a lot of doubts

Hey y'all, i just started taking 2mg of progynova twice a day, plus spiro for blockers.

The thing is, I'm taking the progy sublingually, my doctor prescribed me valerate, didn't specify this brand, but did specify this method: 15 minutes under your tongue, swallow if it didn't completely dissolve.

Everywhere i search about it i see people saying that it doesn't work sublingually , some say it does, lots of mixed answers but nothing definitive... should i just keep following orders or take it orally??

HRT Dosage and Method Help

My baseline T is 22.5 nmol/L and estrodial is 91.5pmol/

Should I start gel and t blockers and how much dosage or pills or patches? I took just progynova 2mg and was switching under the tounge and after 4 days took 4mg and gave me massive gastritis apparently. I think gel or patches are better and I should take anti androgens since my T is high. My blood pressure is fine.

I took too much estrogen, what do I do?

Hello! I started injections today , and I just did my first injection. I unfortunately was given no direction on my medications doctors note on what dosage I should inject, so I presumed that I got a vial per month. My vial is 5ml with a concentration of 20mg/ml, and my intended dose was supposed to be .25, but I unfortunately ended up misreading and injecting a ml. How bad is this going to get for me?

Oral/sublingual dosage question

Asking on behalf of my 20 year old daughter. She was prescribed estradoil a week ago with Spiro. Spiro had to be stopped. She is trying to get on monotherapy injections for but it's taking some time.

In the mean time, can she take oral pills sublingually? If so, her oral dose is 2mg daily currently. Any idea what the sublingual dosage of that would be? Wondering if it would meet monotherapy standards short term.

Can I stop taking progesterone?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been on progesterone for just over a month, the past week I’ve noticed tiny hairs on my face and body. I think that means that my prog is converting to dht. I’ve been trying to contact my doctor about it, but they seem kinda unreliable to this. Where I am located, it’s hard to get DHT bloodwork. I basically just feel like stopping it. While it has improved my breast, I hate face and body hair. I’d rather smaller boobs than hair. Any advice appreciated, just feeling kinda anxious about it all.

Help a doll out!

Hey dolls, I am a trans girl, 16, and have been female presenting since I had the choice over what I could wear (about 4!) as I have had access to the internet I have found out about hormone replacement. I am insecure about my masculine features and hrt would help a lot. I have tried to get it on the nhs, but I am aware of the huge waiting lists and changing laws in the uk that restrict me . Please help me with any tips on DIYing, i want to know it all. Thanks dolls ! 💕💕💕

The choice between weight loss and weight gain

I've been on hrt for the good part of two years now. And while I've seen a load of amazing changes, I feel I've been holding myself back a bit by dieting. When I started my transition, I had quite a lot of weight to spare, so I focused on dieting to slim down my figure. At 187 cm I went from 90 to 70 kg in two years. I certainly feel much more at home in my body now, and have the privilege of passing. I nevertheless still have quite a boyish shape, and my breasts have hardly grow over the last two years.

So I often wonder if, had I given the hrt more fat to work with, things would have been different? And whether if i regain part of the weight now, will my breasts still have a chance to grow or will the fat just go back to where it was before? At the same time, apart from my flat chest, I love my slimmer stature. So, I'm unsure where to go from here.

Estradiol Valerate dosages

Hello! I have been on HRT using estradiol valerate since April and physical changes have largely plateaued, so I asked for an increase. I was originally prescribed 1mg IM weekly at 10mg/mL. I also am on spiro 2x daily, totaling 100mg. My doc ordered labs to check levels before a dose change; T was less than 20, but estrogen was 407. Previously I had only been at around 200. She decreased the dose to .7mg a week. She said 407 is too high to still be safe and effective as far as risk of cardiovascular side effects (which my family predisposed me to so that’s why i’m not in progesterone, which is a bummer) vs. clinical benefit.

I’m just curious what others weekly doses of IM estradiol valerate are. I can’t help but feel a little dismayed that mine is so low with stagnant clinical results when I see other people taking fuckin like 10mg a week…

Disclaimer: not asking for medical advice, just curious about others’ experiences on different doses. My doc is great and highly reputable as one of the area’s better Gender Doctors, so I do trust her and her concerns, but it’s hard to shake that progress really is slowing noticeably.

EDIT: Yeah oops i was not firing on all cylinders when i wrote this…i take 1mL once a week at 10mg/mL so 10mg weekly, reduced to 7mg (.7mL). Estrogen was 407pg/mL, with labs drawn 3.5 days after an injection (injected friday at noon, drawn monday at 7pm). last measurement was also 3.5 days from injection and was 158pg/mL. I am taking what seems to be a fairly typical dose, I just
completely bungled the units and confused myself over nothing. my b

Question about injection pain

Hi! I've been doing IM injections in my thighs for about 4 months. I do the z track method so there usually isn't any blood or leakage of any kind. Earlier today I did injections a little lower than usual and there was sharp pain at insertion of the needle. After pulling it out some blood gushed out, and 12 hours later I feel pain in the area. There is also slight visible bruising or blood pooling, but it seems to be deep under the skin. I don't wanna freak out, but would you recommend waiting it out to see what happens or should I be concerned?

How important are anti androgens? Is my dose fine?

I just recently called for refills and realized ive never really looked into my anti androgens. Alongside my estradiol i take 25mg of Spiro twice daily.

I was just wondering what exactly it does. I went without the spiro for a bit and didnt notice any changes (probably just not long enough) but I’ve also seen that my dosage is pretty low as well.

i want my girlfriend to be happier

hii i just have some questions for the trans community about some resources for my girlfriend

shes been having a rough couple past years between hiding her true self and not having the proper resources for hrt and i want to know the best ways to get the ball rolling to get her that help she deserves

she is currently uninsured and would need to pay out of pocket for any hrt resources, but we are in a blue state so i feel like it might be easier for her here

my questions are:

how do we get her on estrogen affordably and safely?

what are the best ways to hide hrt while also getting to experience the wonderful effects of it?

how do i not do 'too much' when approaching ways of helping?

how do i encourage her to work outside of her comfort zone to better her quality of life?

i know at this point that hrt for her would be life-saving care, and i feel so so so sad knowing that in the back of her mind at all times she's sad about this too. i seriously love her more than anything and it crushes me when i can tell she's feeling far from herself

Will hrt remove the masculine desires to top?

I hate the fact that I prefer to solely top and are attracted to men to which most if not all I will attract for that reason are going to be chasers. I feel disgusting and a freak after masturbating especially when I know that most cis girls and friends very likely don’t have those desires and have sex the traditional way.

Any chance of fertility?

To start off, I am dating the most wonderful trans woman. She has been on HRT for over a year by now and when she first started, she was doing it DIY, and even when she was seen by a doctor for a formal prescription, she declined having her sperm frozen as she was vehemently against having children at the time. I was also not very enthusiastic at the thought of having kids. However, now that we’ve both found someone that has made us at least consider kids, we’re worried it won’t even be possible anymore.

So, I suppose my question is, is there any chance, through any means, that we could possibly recover enough sperm in case we do actually decide to have kids one day? And if so, do you guys have any idea how to go about that process?

I’m not sure exactly how the science of that works, I’m preparing myself for the possibility it may just not be in the cards, but I don’t want to completely give up hope immediately.

How to start Hrt?

I want to try starting hrt. at the moment though, i know basically nothing, and its hard to learn more, because its all a bit overwhelming. can anyone here help me out? all i really know right now is that you take estrogen pills like every morning or something, but they have a different name i think, i just don't know it right now.

I would greatly appreciate help, so i can be prepared to know what to do and start. i really really wanna take hrt at least by the time i start college.

non-dysphoric transition considerations

so im 23, and have been heavily debating going on E for a few months now. ive asked a lot of people for insight to inform myself, but ive had trouble finding people like me who have had little to no gender dysphoria pre-transition. for those out there who have transitioned for reasons other than dysphoria, what should i be considering here? is there anything you wish you knew or tried before starting HRT?

HRT dose after orchiectomy

Im wondering what dosage I should have after my scheduled orchiectomy, currently im just on 4mg oral and that seems really low 😅

I want to swap to injections 💉 but have no clue what would be a reasonable dose 🤔 so im asking here to get an idea so I can better advocate for a correct dose because I just dont think they want to give me enough honesty.

Continued hair loss on HRT?

Does anyone have any advice for dealing with continued hair loss while under HRT?

I'm taking 6mg of EEn (DIY), 0.5 mg of dutasteride, and 2.5 mg of minoxidil.

My hormone levels seemed fine last they were checked - 193 pg/mL for Estradiol; 15 ngdL for testosterone, total.

My primary said I had minor anemia, so I've been taking iron sulfate supplements along with vitamin C to help with absorption as well.

Not sure what else to check or ask for. My dermatologist said my hair seemed fine last time it was checked (about 6 months ago), but it seems to have thinned quite a bit over the past year when I look at some older photos and it's causing me a lot of dysphoria. I didn't really notice the thinning to much when I last spoke with her.

Gender specialist

So I think I've decided I will take my therapist up on the offer of a referral to a gender specialist but I was wondering what can I expect? How did it go for you? Were you offered low dose estrogen to experiment and how did that turn out? Any response is welcome!
