Not Answered ATS newcomer advice and PC specs.

Upvotes

So I’ve just recently began to entertain the idea of swapping from Xbox series X to PC I’ve had my PC for roughly 3 1/2 years the reason I never made the swap was due to having friends I constantly play with on Xbox. So I’m a big fan of simulator games that’s really all I play now and have been waiting for ATS to come to Xbox but recently I played the demo and fell in love with it! So I was wanting to know if I need to upgrade any of my parts or stay away from certain mods in order to have a crisp, clean beautiful environment to drive state to state I will post the specs here below, any advice would be greatly appreciated. And as always thanks in advance!

Not Answered PreBuilt Gaming PC Suggestions for someone new to PC Gaming

Im planning on purchasing a gaming PC soon, I have primarily been a console gamer so I am unfamiliar with buying/building PCs, and what specs make sense for the kind of games I want to play on PC. I generally plan on using the PC for MMOs like World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, etc as well as, co-op indie titles. Hoping to stay under $1500 if possible. Would really appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.

Not Answered Pc linked to tv question! Laptop vs steamdeck

I am in the market for a steam deck oled or a gaming laptop, cant decide (suggestipns welcome! Budget is around 600). One use case for this purchase will be to hook it up to tvs while i travel. Will there be input lag for a laptop that I wouldn't experience with a steamdeck, once linked to a tv

Thanks for the help!

Not Answered HELP ME, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?????

Hi everyone. I currently have a PC with an RTX 4070 Super and a Ryzen 7 5700X3D. I’m obviously excited about the release of GTA 6 and want to play it at launch. However, I’m torn: should I sell my PC to buy a PS5 Pro, or buy a standard PS5 and keep both the PC and the PS5? What would you do

Not Answered Nvidia gt 1030 Smackdown vs Raw 2007

So I was told that with my setup though not the best I should be able to run games 2016 and older. Someone recently made a pc port of svr 2007 that’s runs emulator free. Thought I would be good but it runs slow. I have the nvidia gt 1030 with a ryzen 3 3100 anyone know how I can get this to run with a decent fps or does this setup just suck. I’ve been playing Deadpool and gta v with project santos mod no problems so I thought I could run this.

Not Answered Looking for prebuilt recs before I'm priced out

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for PC prebuilt recommendations. I know virtually 0 about PC's.

Budget: $2000

Games I play: Fortnite, Minecraft, Sims 4 (heavily modded), GTA (anticipating the release of 6), COD, and Palia.

Specs I know I'm looking for: DDR5 32GB ram, 2TB storage, preferably a more modern CPU/GPU I don't have a preference on Intel/Ryzen or Nvidia/AMD. I just want something that is going to work and work for a while and not need upgraded.

I've tried to do my own research, but I'm struggling and overwhelmed by the options. With prices continuously raising I'd like to get something quickly before I'm priced out.

r/AskPCGamers 3d ago

Not Answered Hey, Okay, I'll start with the topic simply. I have a budget of $700 and I have an old PC that I got in 2022, its specifications are as follows: RTX 3050, i5 10400F, 16 GB.

And I am now between two options:

either to upgrade the card to an RTX 4060 to improve my experience, I was worried about the bottleneck, but Gemini told me that there will be no bottleneck if I play story-mod games "and that's what i really play" and not shooter games because the card will be at its maximum power.

Or the other option is to simply buy a PS5 Slim with this budget.

My question is, which of the two options do you think is better? Which one would you personally choose, and why? My goal is to achieve the best possible performance from both my PC and console.

Not Answered Budget starter Gaming PC / laptop for 12 year old?

12yr old has been asking for a gaming PC forever, and I want to get him one for his birthday next month.

But- I know absolutely nothing. I was coding on MySpace at his age, but wasn’t into gaming & haven’t kept up with tech since college. So much has changed, especially with gaming capabilities.

I don’t have much money, and am hoping to find the cheapest option that will do everything he wants it to. He mainly plays games like Roblox, Minecraft, and wants to use steam and have the capability to connect it to his meta quest 3 VR.

I would prefer to get him a laptop, so he can easily take it with him to his dad’s house. But he would like to have a separate keyboard, mouse, and monitor at home.
Is it possible to have a decent laptop that will connect to everything for the best of both worlds? If not, I will get a desktop like he wants.

What do you all recommend? Thank you all so much in advance for any help!!

Not Answered GTA 6 4k with DLSS on a 5070ti?

I'm well aware we have zero idea how PC specs would look for an eventual PC release, but I'm seeking insight from those more familiar with hardware than I am on how my build might hold up to running a PC build of GTA 6 at 4k (obviously with DLSS performance). Biggest specs are a 5070ti, Ryzen 7 7800x3d, and 32gb of DDR5 RAM. I figured it'd be fine, especially with upscaling, but I'm ultimately unsure.
