Well, there’s the difference between full value and what you actually paid with all the sales. I think my account over the past 15 years has $3k in money spent, but about $3k in money saved

That's about what I spent on mine, though I built it myself with a 5600x/9060xt. It's larger than the steam machine of course, but the performance blows it out of the water
Eh, before the currency conversion in 2016 (I think) I got some sellable summer event shit, sold it on the marked and bought the cheapest games for 2-5-10 cents, got steam autoplayer to farm the collection cards and sold them, bought other games with the money and so on. I've bought over 100 games like this and in the end I accumulated around 5$ which I used to buy Terraria.
Years ago I had the PlayerUnknowns trenchcoat for PUBG. It sold for like $850 on community market and I rode that amount for YEARS. Especially when I would time a sale, try a game and return it if it just wasn't my thing.
