News New Album
I‘m super excited about the new album „Asterix in Lusitania“. I already like the cover with the calçada from Lagos, Portugal.

Comics Asterix & Cleopatra panel in Playmobil (swipe!)
I kind of recreated the Cleopatra movie (1963) scene version by Uderzo in his comic Asterix and Cleopatra (1965). It is not exact but it will do 😉

Comics So one of the few times the situation was apparently dire enough that Getafix actually broke his rule about about Obelix not drinking the Potion... and it was to bust down a stone door. Pretty sure Obelix could've just done that as he normally is
Seriously, even as a kid this bothered me. I went like "You had Obelix drink some potion for THAT?"

English speakers: do any of you who read Asterix books a lot as a child have trouble pronouncing the word "asterisk" correctly?
Title speaks for itself, really. I'll just add that I'm constantly stumbling on the word.
I don't have the same issue with "obelisk" for some reason.

The Obelix cookbook
The date inside said 1994 (presumably the original in French) and 1995 Fontein (a Dutch publisher).

Asterix Rave
I'd LOVE to go to an Asterix rave made from all of the techno tracks in the three games! For example "The Slide" is one hell of a techno track!

News Screening of Asterix at the Obelisk (Buenos Aires, Argentina) commemorating the centenary of Goscinny
There were many activities on the avenue, it was great! For us Argentines, Goscinny means a lot. Not only he live here, but he also showed great interest in many local works that inspired him to create his own, we love him and his work❤️

Comics Can someone who knows French better than me explain this joke?
I just read Astérix Legionnaire to try to freshen up my school French, and I made it through (with lots of trips to the dictionary) but this gag stumps me.
The Egyptian says "poil aux sourcils" (eyebrow hair) which is apparently funny, then "poil au nez" (nose hair) and then "poils aux mains" (hairs on the hands).
I found this on wiktionary for "poil au nez": (informal, humorous) Used as a rhyme with a word ending with the /e/ sound. So are these all just random rhymes? I don't really see how "fin" would rhyme with "mains", but I'm obviously not good with French pronunciation.

Comics Could this one-off character from Asterix and Obelix's Birthday work as the main antagonist in a future album?
This character could have many uses. The plot could be somewhat similar to Roman Agent and Obelix Co. but about health fraud and medical malpractice like Dr Doxey from Lucky Luke.

Fan Art Trying to draw Anticlimax (Why not?)
Yeah, it's my first time trying to draw a character from Asterix et Obelix, if you love my art I would do more of it. (If you are wondering this is Girls Und Panzer x Asterix, I love both)

Favorite panel from the comics?
Do you have a favorite single panel from Asterix comics?
I was thinking of getting a tattoo with Asterix and Obelix and figured that a real panel from the comics could be pretty cool. So I am listing through the comics right now just for fun but figured that I will also try and ask here.
