Other sites or programs or apps may be ok, but only if houses are clearly displayed, and the full degree positions for each planet and angle are displayed on the round wheel chart. We still, however, ask that you use the two recommended sites above.
DO NOT POST LISTS OF PLACEMENTS, OR JUST GIVE A FEW PLACEMENTS IN YOUR POST. DO NOT ASK A QUESTION ABOUT ONE OF YOUR PLACEMENTS AND NOT INCLUDE YOUR CHART. DO NOT POST ONLY A CROPPED PORTION OF YOUR CHART.
Doing so will result in immediate removal. This is an astrology sub - we need to see the chart. Even if you think it doesn't matter, as you are only asking about one placement, or one aspect, we need the whole chart. There are levels of analysis that go into that "just one thing" that you may not be aware of. No planet or aspect or house operates in isolation in the chart.
HOUSE SYSTEMS
With the exception of Annual Profection or Horary posts, you are free to use whichever house system you prefer. (See these sections below.) The exception is if your birth location is one that Placidus distorts dramatically, then we may ask you to repost using the Whole Sign house system.
ANNUAL PROFECTION POSTS
Use only Whole Sign houses for Annual Profections
If you are posting about your Annual Profection, you must include your natal chart made in the Whole Sign house system (even if you use Placidus normally), since this is the house system required for the tool. If you post with a placidus chart, your post will be removed. Do not post with just the "profection guide" chart from astro-seek. That is only a tool to help you determine your profection. We need your actual full birth chart, in the Whole Sign house system.
On astro.com
Go to the Extended Chart Selection page (it is found under the Horoscopes tab, under the heading “Drawings, Calculations, Data”. Here’s a direct link to that page: Extended Chart Selection. Then in the house system drop down menu on that page, select “Whole Sign”.
When entering your birth data, scroll down a bit and you will see a small "Extended Settings" link (this is also shown just below your chart once it is displayed). Click on that, then in the House System drop down menu select the “Whole Sign” option. Don’t use the one that says “Whole Sign Asc Horizontal”, and don’t use any of the ones farther down that say “0 Aries”, etc.
HORARY POSTS
These are best if you use either Placidus or Regiomontanus house system.
TRANSIT POSTS & SECONDARY PROGRESSIONS
Transits are for posts asking "what is going on right now", or "what happened a month ago when everything blew up". You need to post your natal chart + transits as a biwheel for the appropriate date whether that's a month ago, a year ago or right now. You can set transits to any date in the past, present or future easily on both astro.com and astro-seek.com The biwheel puts your natal chart on the inside and transits around the outside.
Progressions are similar, but for a longer period of time, so if March-April 2020 was a disaster (Covid was ramping up, btw this is just for example) maybe include progressions.
Do not ask "what will the next year be like for me", unless you’re willing to pay an experienced astrologer commensurate (it’s a lot) for their time. This is a massive ask, and would take a great deal of time to answer.

SOLAR RETURN POSTS
Solar Returns must be read alongside the natal chart. DO NOT post just your solar return chart alone. Make a natal + solar return biwheel. This puts your natal chart on the inside, and the solar return chart around the outside. It is helpful if you give your age as your Annual Profection's lord of the year should be considered in the solar return.

Okay, Rules of what we allow and mainly don’t.
Rules
1) No spam. You will be banned on sight. No solicitation of paid readings, requests for DM's, links in your posts to offsite pages like facebook or instagram. You may be warned for that or banned, depending on that Mod’s mood. So don’t risk it.
2) Be nice. Insults are unnecessary and will be removed. Bans may be handed out depending on rudeness.
3) POST YOUR CHART. This should go without saying. If you are asking for a reading, post a chart. Also, do not post charts of dogs, cats, water fountains, basketballs, or anything that isn't another human being. Refer to rule 2 about getting someone else's permission before posting their chart. We also advise that you take the time to slightly anonymize your chart at your discretion.
3a) When you post a chart or charts, please indicate whose they are (including yourself) Do NOT post someone else's chart (unless they are close family) without their permission. And please state explicitly that you have permission. Repeat offenders may be banned.
4) NO SYNASTRIES (Compatibility), NO DRACONIC, & NO COMPOSITES No MATRIX stuff, that’s bogus. (Only synastry exception being family members. That means it is established karma). Too many people have abused synastry in the sub, which is an open-ended reading at best.
5) No "Guess My Sign" selfies, RoastMe's, Will I Be Famous. No "Describe what I look like" narcissism. Go play elsewhere with that. There is a different subreddit for selfies.
6) Make a pertinent OP/Question (header post) We all want to know something more about ourselves. That's the point of this sub. And specify whose chart it is.
6b) Don’t 3rd person your own chart or it may be Removed.
Therefore, don't make a Pity-Party OP, obviously narcissistic me-me-me, or vapid instagram type post.
7) NO SIDEREAL OR VEDIC CHARTS, PLEASE. We do not have regular Vedic readers to justify it.
8) SHUT UP ABOUT CHIRON, Dark Lilith, etc. or Vertex. No Asteroid readings. Leave them out of your chart image. Charts with more than 3 asteroids will be Removed. Asteroids, including Chiron have never been considered as having astral influence until recently, when new age pretenders shoehorned them in, in lieu of actual interpretive knowledge. There is a ton of information available using the 10 acknowledged planets, Houses, and Signs for experienced readers without adding this Barnumesque rubbish which only detracts. We intend to remove as much Barnum/Forer effect generalization as possible in this sub.
9) No AI cookbook or vanilla Copypasta readings; don’t make your OP with “ChatGPT said”. Use your brain and astro-experience or DON"T post replies. ChatGPT is verboten garbage. Offenders are subject to ban.
10) DON'T ASK OPEN-ENDED MARRIAGE, JOB, PARTNER OR CHILDREN PREDICTIONS such as "will I ever, when will I", etc. These are very common questions in Vedic astrology, but this sub is not geared in that direction.
11) MISC: If you want to to tip or pay to have your chart read, use the "Donation" flair please. Post charts- not just questions. We have created a tipjar format for validated, experienced astrologers.

looking for insight into my relationship and what I can do to pull myself together (emotionally) to allow for repair?
I have been with my partner for over a decade, there have been lots of ups and downs but the last few months have been some of the lowest lows. Part of the problem is that when I get emotional and upset it completely takes me over and I break down hard. It makes it impossible for us to talk about whatever issue at hand. We’re in a spot where lots of little things blow up, but the blow ups send me into an emotional spiral. Sobbing inconsolably, can’t string together thoughts/responses, mentally stuck in worst case scenario (divorce and losing them), and sometimes even mental black out (maybe a day or so later they’ll ask if there was anything specific they said that upset me/resonated with me/what my thoughts are and I can’t even remember the conversation except that it went horribly)
I’m having a very hard time finding inner strength to pull myself together to be able to keep myself emotionally upright. I try to use the stakes to motivate myself to pull it together, but the thought of losing them just makes me crumble.
I had a pretty easy childhood and life- my parents coddled me and always swooped in to fix things for me. My partner came along and also did the same. Any time I encountered a problem, they would either fix it or get me through it. Part of that is being a partner, but part of it also was still coddling. Now they’ve hit their limit coddling me, and they want a more balanced relationship. I desperately want to give this to them. But after a lifetime of being hand-held, conflict with my partner just destroys me.
When I’m figuratively back against the wall, fighting for my relationship, how can I pull myself together? I don’t necessarily feel like a failure for us having issues, every couple does, but I do feel like a failure for being unable to even pull myself together when our relationship needs it the most.

I'm supposed to start a masters degree this month but I'm getting pretty old (age 28) and will not get to pursue a working holiday in Japan past age 30 due to visa restrictions. Should I do a working holiday or should I pursue graduate studies starting this fall? If I did the MA now I would just visit the country next summer then do a working holiday after the degree. My lifelong goal is to travel abroad long term then eventually settle down abroad. It would be nice to stay abroad long term and explore a country while I can. I have always wanted to travel to Japan on a working holiday visa. In terms of astrocartography I have a natal Jupiter line crossing through the country by Osaka.

Hi all, I've heard some people saying that trines are gift and others that trines are a 'lazy aspect'. What is your opinions, with your own charts or from others?
And specifically about my chart, I really don't really understand how the trines between my ASC, Jupiter and Uranus can support me or how it translates into my life.
I never paid much attention to my earth signs, also did not super identify as Taurus rising, but I activated the minor aspects in my chart in astro seek and got me curious about my earth houses and the tight trine. Any insights much appreciated :))

I’ve gone through the basics but this feels very heavily Libra compared to my other Libra friends.
Here’s what I noticed and a few questions
1. My Sun, North Node, and Ascendant are all tightly conjunct in Libra in the 1st house.
2. My Sun is simultaneously square Jupiter and opposite Saturn.
3. What does having Mars, and Venus in Leo in the 11th house suggest about audiences?
4. Is my chart better suited to being an employee, leader, consultant, entrepreneur, public communicator, or some combination? Does my chart favor working behind the scenes or eventually becoming the person whose ideas, strategy, or communication are publicly associated with the work?

Hi. I’m in a spot of huge career and financial decisions being made. I also am starting a very serious relationship, which luckily doesn’t bring me any stress but I don’t much want it to cloud my career choices. I have a degree path picked that I’m passionate about, but it’s also so technical compared to my creative/free-flowing personality and others close to me have pointed it out. I want a life I can explore all of my interests and not be tied to my focus needing to be on one thing. I have the potential to move locations, pick a school, but once I decide I don’t want to go much in debt by changing paths. I love so many different areas of focus, I’m struggling to be fully clear on what’s best for my future. Any advice?

I always want to spend more time being out in the world, going on little adventures, being spontaneous, etc etc but it just seems so impossible for me to muster up the energy and the actual desire to do those things. I feel like at heart I'm irrevocably a homebody even though at heart I also want to do more with my time. I've wondered before if it has something to do with the situation going on in my 6th house, but maybe you guys can shed some light on it for me. (I've also wondered this because my partner has nearly identical placements there and she's the same way.)
I'd also be happy to hear any other insights past that. I had a pretty turbulent childhood, and there are some other aspects of myself that seem very fixed and deeply rooted, so I'm curious if any of that is visible in my chart.

Hello and thanks in advance for reading my post. For a few years now, I have been getting my Tarot cards read and have also seen an intuitive psychic. It is by something I like to do but don’t take it dead serious. I am just open to what these things have to say. I have recently been wanting to see an astrologer. I saw an astrologer a couple of years ago who was pretty young and just kind of getting started doing readings and did something very casual reading my birth chart over a cup of coffee.
I have had a lot of trouble across different forums finding reliable astrologers who will do readings over Zoom or in person if they are in New York City. Not to mention the current epidemic which is Etsy astrologers selling people an AI generated thesis on their birth charts. I did what I would do trying to find a Tarot card reader in a new city and just googled and went through some reviews. Today I met with someone who had a couple hundred good reviews and actually had a pretty mediocre experience.
He didn’t want to see the document I printed out just in case with my birth chart on it. He actually had a book he used, and then he drew a square and wrote information in it. He did the astrology reading in conjunction with face and palm reading. This is someone who stated they practice Vedic astrology as an Indian. Was seeming legit.
He spoke very briefly about some of the planets in my houses which you will see above and talked about how my health troubles and hardship finding a romantic relationship are related to where some of these planets are seated. He also referred to what I believe were some traditional gods or goddesses.
Two of my main prerogatives were learning about the significance of my Saturn return since I am 27 years old now and also learning about whether or not where you are located geographically can impact your success in different areas. He was not able to discuss either of these topics. I am not sure if it is not aligned with the type of astrology he practices or if he just didn’t know how to answer me.
What really left a sour taste in my mouth was we concluded the session discussing in great depths how I needed to have five prayers put upon me. One cleansing prayer for each of the four Cardinal signals and then a prayer of protection. When I stated that I wasn’t interested in doing it today or anytime soon I would need to reflect on our discussion he said he would be flexible on the price but I needed to make a deposit.
As you can tell from this post, I have dabbled in different modalities of spirituality like tarot cards and astrology before. I’m not sure for other astrologers or people with knowledge in this area what information outside of the chart if beneficial but will answer any questions. For example this person asked me specific questions about my vocation, romantic relationships, etc. and spoke a lot about sensing things blocking my “energy” and making decision making more difficult.

Currently getting my MSW and I'm wondering if my chart has anything to say about whether or not I'll be good in this field? I've been interested in being a therapist, working in hospice, long term care, or even hospital as a social worker. Thoughts? Is there a different area of social work I'd be better at?
