Hey all! B8 S4 6speed.

I had someone cut me off today in traffic today which caused me to have to brake pretty heavily. After that I noticed a big change in my exhaust sound.

It now has a drone/burble and much more noticeable sound.

See video. Taken from driver side window, revving to 2-3k rpm. Exhaust is 100% stock other than a cold air intake.

Did something in my exhaust line break and if so, where should I start looking?

Has anybody here tried running 15mm spacers in the front with lowering springs on the stock 19 inch rotor wheels? Did it rub? Biggest I can find is 12.5mm but it looks like there is still some room.

Looking at buying this 2018 Audi S4 and wanted to get some opinions on the engine noise before moving forward.

113k, sport, 2-owner. Prev owner provided a folder of service history, with Liqui Moly oil changes.

Splicing an aftermarket X-pipe into a friend’s B9 S4 factory exhaust. TIG certified on carbon steel, limited fab experience.

Can’t confirm the OEM pipe’s material — seeing conflicting info between mild steel and 409 stainless. Planning ER309L rod + straight argon since it bonds reliably across mild/409/304, and assuming 16ga wall unless corrected.

Anyone dealt with this on a B9 — is the stock pipe actually magnetic 409 or plain steel?

So much more comes out when I’m actually driving it, literally to the point where i get my own little smoke mist whenever i turn. I just topped up my oil and theres no codes.

I just wanted to get some opinions on what wheels you guys think would look better on my b9.5 s4, one is rs6 style and one is r8 style, i’m planning to put floating center caps one whichever i buy but im open to both options.

Has anyone ever stripped an S4? I will soon have two cars and am considering stripping rear seat, AC, most trim and swapping the front seats. Obviously there are better and cheaper cars to turn into a track car, but since I have already done suspension, brakes, pulley and cooling upgrades I'll probably just stick with it. It also already has a sagging and torn headliner. How much weight do you think you could cut gutting it?

So I have a b9.5 s4, just starting seeing blow smoke come out from exhaust on start up.

Usually use liqui moly top tech 5w 40 but it shows on the MMI that I am very low on the oil level and need to top up asap. Can I use Castrol 5w 40 for topping up.

PCV and water valve have already been done. 77K miles with a majority in Nevada. Hoping to fly from NH and drive it back

Hey i noticed some of my belly pan screws got loose and my shield flops on the floor when driving at high speeds. Looked up that the Euro half twist Torx 25 is required. Could I use a regular Torx? Or would i need the half twist? Thanks!
