Question Derestricting R7

Hello
I was thinking of derestricting my R7. Am planning to get k&N air filter, velocity stacks and a tune. I already have a full system and the HO throttle plate. Do y’all know how much power I could get out of this? Thanks

About 70hp

Less power than you would get out of selling it and buying a cheap R class bike

After you do all that, you'll still have less power than a HO and as a bonus you've tanked your resale value.

Just ride it until you have your opens and trade it for a full power version. If you already have your opens, trade it now or put up with it

That's about another $1000 of work to just get around 70Hp for a bike worth way more to sell as it's LAMS.

Dumbest thing is LAMS bikes hold more value than R class bikes. Best time to cash in.

Lolly Shop is now totally open and real fast bikes are available for purchase with stuff not on your R7 like a quickshifter.

Look for bikes with those. Especially the bi-directional ones with auto-blippers. Just use the gear shift without a clutch. Sick fun.

I have 2 bikes, one with short gears and a lot of clutch work, the other with long gears and a quickshifter. Makes for way different riding.

You'll be spending a lot of money and it'll make less power than as HO as the actual bore was downsized in the LAMS model.

My recommendation is save your money for big bike, do cheap stuff like a quick action throttle so it feels faster and maybe also the OEM quick-shifter.

Do it, just make sure you keep the stock throttle plate as when you sell the bike it’ll be hard to do so without reverting/option to (literally 2 screws to replace) rest of the mods could all be put on in an afternoon.

It’ll make around decent bit more power could get mine to lift in 3rd even 4th pretty easily once the velocity stacks were done(had throttle plate done like 2 weeks after buying it)

(Yea alternatively if you wanna be a prancy lil good boy you can spend a bunch of time and effort and go buy a HO model)
