Pricing

I’m in New Zealand and there’s a couple of axes around selling for around 20 to 30 nzd i know nothing about axes but they seem good quality should I buy them and try to rehandle and resale at 60 to 80 dollars cleaned up?

Without details of the potential axe heads, I personally wouldn’t be able to advise you about the quality or resale value…

I'm skeptical of someone who "knows nothing about axes" being able to more than double their value. However, if you have the means to make handles for them you might be able to, good replacement handles are not cheap.

Well the way I see it if there’s a quality handle on a old head its gonna be better then a shop brought axe with a plastic handle or some crappy wood also it’s not hard to tell if its good steel so I’m sure I can pick out the ones that will hold a edge also I’m not selling to collectors I’m selling to people who want something to get the job done not hang on the wall
