Let’s say we lose our 2 biggest games, Notre Dame and in the CCG. Undefeated in regular season conference play. We beat Utah. We get snubbed from the playoff somehow. Would you take it?

Not sure we would get snubbed in this case but it seems par for the course.

Does anyone know where we can buy official BYU jerseys? Seems like there really isn’t a way to do so through any traditional channels. Seeing a few stitched jerseys out there but would prefer to get something official if it’s available.

Was thinking about trying out a college fantasy football league this season. Salary cap format, so no need to coordinate a draft. Looks like you just sign up and build your team.

Martin and Bachmeier were the first players I put in my team, but curious if there’s anyone else you guys are taking too?

Looking at league settings, theres no minimum or max league size. Full FBS was available which I thought was cool.

Hey r/byufootball — fall camp just kicked off so it felt like the right time to share something I've been working on: Cougar Football Archive, a sitecovering BYU football history all the way back to 1922. I have been active on Twitter/X for over a decade now, tracking and sharing interesting BYU stats and history that I come across. I finally took this offseason, and the tail end of last season, to effectively make my database accessible to everyone.

Here's what you can explore:

• Seasons with game-by-game results going back to 1922. Every score of every game is accounted for. You can see the full data coverage details by visiting the Data Coverage page on the site.
• Player pages for 3,667 Cougars across 101 seasons. I just updated with the full roster for this season.
• Coaches history and records. Every assistant and (most) graduate assistants included. You can also see where else they've coached (college/pro) besides BYU.
• Lists that have everything from recruiting classes (back to 1975) to NFL Draft picks and more!
• All-time records and yearly statistical leaders
• A data query tool for digging into individual player stats
• A blog for longer historical write-ups
• Starting with the 2026 season, I'll have game previews up each week (on the season schedule table) that will have the rosters, coaches, and stats for each opponent as well as facts about the all-time series.

Each one has the returning production, the transfer and recruiting additions, a position-by-position breakdown, the schedule, and where the ratings land them for 2026.

So, what'd I get wrong? BYU might be the best value on my whole board. You went 12-2 to a Big 12 title game and return about 80% of it, which almost never happens for a team that good. Bear Bachmeier's back after a true freshman year that won him Big 12 Freshman of the Year (3,000-plus passing, another 500 on the ground), LJ Martin ran for 1,305, and most of the defense returns too. And you do it all at 70th in talent, the Sitake special. So this one isn't about a weakness, it's about ceiling: is this the year BYU is a real Big 12 and playoff threat?
