I keep getting ads for this carrier on Instagram and I’m curious if anyone knows anything about it or has looked into the safety of this style of carrier. To me, it feels inherently unsafe and I’m so confused as to what possible use this could have? How is this easier than either putting baby in a proper carrier or just into a bassinet stroller. So bizarre?

She is 9 months old, and has been sitting independently for a couple of months now!

The hood and the way her face is pressed into my back (especially when she shifts so that her nose is right up against it) feel like suffocation hazards😭 Without the hood her head hangs backwards when I start to get to work around the house which doesn’t feel right either!

Also, is photo #3 a rebreathing hazard?

Hi, this is how my husband wears our daughter in the ergobaby carrier. I think she is too loose but he won’t tighten it much more because he thinks she will be too tightly pressed into him. Looking for some ideas and critiques for how we can appropriately wear her. Thanks!

My first attempt with a ring sling. Baby is 2.5 weeks old

I got this bougie osprey carrier but whenever I’ve tried to baby wear, the little one hates it. I’ve tried wearing him in a wrap when he was smaller, and he didn’t like it. I bought a cheaper Safety First carrier at tj maxx and it’s worked the best so far in that he stays in it for 20 mins max before getting cranky. He’s bigger now, 5 1/2 months, good trunk and neck control, and this osprey carrier says that he can be world facing now. He seemed to enjoy it much more but I’d still like some advice. Thank you!

Thanks everyone! Baby can mostly sit unassisted and only falls over sometimes haha. But understood, no world facing until he sits unassisted. It seems like there are issues with this carrier in general. Might have to pass on it overall. Thanks for the input!

He just meets the newborn weight requirements but still looks a little small for this carrier? His legs and feet don't really want to hang outside the waistband.

Baby recently turned 3 months, she is around 19 lbs and 23 inches. Baby fussed a bit at first, was fine got 10-15 mins and started to fuss again so I took her out of it.
Please rate the fit and I welcome any advices or tips.

I am currently renting this to try and am unsure if I have the fit right! Babe is 8.5 months, 21lbs around 27 inches long.

How does the fit look? Baby is just over 7lbs and we’re hoping to start using the carrier.

I have a general question that has bugged me for a while. I get the concerns about world facing, however my little one refuses to be carried otherwise. So I have to always carry him in a way that he sees the most of the world. This has been the case since he was just a few weeks old.
Now he is still too young to be world facing in a carrier but I wanted to know what the difference between carrying him around all the time world facing and him being in a carrier world facing is.

English is not my first language, so I hope it’s not too confusing and please excuse any mistakes :)

Baby is 3m old wearing 3-6 clothing. 99th percentile in length and is about 13lbs. Trying for first time, he’s in Footy pjs which I know you’re not supposed to do with the carrier it’s just what he had on when I went to test the carrier.

I think I'd like to buy a Hope and Lark carrier. My bay is 2 months though so I'm wondering if I should get the sprout or the Lark. I dont want to get a carrier he'll outgrow in a few months since I already have a solly wrap and ergo omni 360.

I got a ring sling and then a bairn from oscha when my baby was around 4 weeks old.

I’ve not used the ring sling as much as I would like I’ve found it to be hit and miss in terms of getting a good fit. (I would like to get better at it but that’s a separate topic!).

I have however loved the bairn but baby is starting to feel heavier in it. I think I still have quite some use in it, especially for shorter carries but I suspect it may soon become uncomfortable for longer carries (baby does 90% of naps here and I’ve basically given up on stroller so I’m wearing then for hours everyday).

My husband has the nook which I found to be very supportive but I don’t like how difficult it is to adjust when baby is in, so if you don’t get a perfect fit on the first go, you’re a bit stuck.

I’ve been eyeing up the oscha cairis - partially because I’ve clearly just become addicted to oscha but also because I’ve read that a half buckle will give a more custom fit and be more supportive than a full buckle.

Is this insane? Will a half buckle offer no material difference vs a full buckle?

Should the carrier reach to right behind the knee on both sides or is it okay if it’s an inch or 2 shorter?

I believe we got the J snd M shape correct and he has lots of air flow to his mouth! Thoughts, comments, concerns?! Really trying to get this right :)

I got a second hand cotton ring sling a few days and am very pleasantly surprised!! It really helped 16week old baby during a fussy time- she loves it. theres one issue I’m encountering with the leg NOT on the side of the ring. I know the extra fabric is supposed to stay under her bum vs gathered on the back, but it seems to bunch so much in the one side! Definitely too tight. She’s very tolerant today and let me mess with it for like 10min and I still couldn’t get it right :-/ the other (ring)side feels good, like her leg is “resting” on top. None of it seems to bother her too much and she falls right asleep but I know it’s not correct- and is preventing me from feeling comfortable wearing it for longer periods. Help?!

Hi!! My 3 mo has outgrown his ergobaby embrace carrier which I’ve absolutely loved. It’s so soft yet supportive, and we’ve been able to nurse and nap on the go. My in laws generously gifted me an Artipoppe so I’m trying it out now, but I find the waistband to be uncomfortable- it digs into my waist and I don’t love the halter neck vs the shoulder straps of the Embrace.

What carrier would you recommend I look into, given how well the Embrace worked for us? I see a lot of good reviews for the Hope & Plum Lark, but what else? A ring sling for nursing on the go perhaps?
