I believe we got the J snd M shape correct and he has lots of air flow to his mouth! Thoughts, comments, concerns?! Really trying to get this right :)

I got this bougie osprey carrier but whenever I’ve tried to baby wear, the little one hates it. I’ve tried wearing him in a wrap when he was smaller, and he didn’t like it. I bought a cheaper Safety First carrier at tj maxx and it’s worked the best so far in that he stays in it for 20 mins max before getting cranky. He’s bigger now, 5 1/2 months, good trunk and neck control, and this osprey carrier says that he can be world facing now. He seemed to enjoy it much more but I’d still like some advice. Thank you!

Thanks everyone! Baby can mostly sit unassisted and only falls over sometimes haha. But understood, no world facing until he sits unassisted. It seems like there are issues with this carrier in general. Might have to pass on it overall. Thanks for the input!

My little turkey is 6m now and it's constantly trying to observe and interact with the world around him (which I love of course). This does make baby wearing difficult now though and he's suddenly become rather clingy out of nowhere, so I've been holding him a lot lately (majority of the day is still floor time though. Please don't come at me lol).

He's crawling, planking, sitting independently just fine, and even pulling up to stand (we don't force him, he does it himself. I know it's early, but Dr said if he's doing it himself it's okay. Again, please don't come at me), so he has solid core strength and he is ready to face the world.

I am trying to find a new baby carrier that'll allow him to face out safely while also allowing me to stay mobile and get things done, even if it's just simple chores, grocery skipping, or a walk. I know forward facing in carriers is not recommended due to it being bad on the baby's body and development of the hips and stuff but please tell me there is a carrier safely designed for this stage. 🥲🙏

He just meets the newborn weight requirements but still looks a little small for this carrier? His legs and feet don't really want to hang outside the waistband.

I've since watched the recommended videos many times and was hoping to get some feedback on my second attempt. Baby feels secure, but a bit worried about circulation to baby's feet?

She is 9 months old, and has been sitting independently for a couple of months now!

The hood and the way her face is pressed into my back (especially when she shifts so that her nose is right up against it) feel like suffocation hazards😭 Without the hood her head hangs backwards when I start to get to work around the house which doesn’t feel right either!

Also, is photo #3 a rebreathing hazard?

I keep getting ads for this carrier on Instagram and I’m curious if anyone knows anything about it or has looked into the safety of this style of carrier. To me, it feels inherently unsafe and I’m so confused as to what possible use this could have? How is this easier than either putting baby in a proper carrier or just into a bassinet stroller. So bizarre?

I got a ring sling and then a bairn from oscha when my baby was around 4 weeks old.

I’ve not used the ring sling as much as I would like I’ve found it to be hit and miss in terms of getting a good fit. (I would like to get better at it but that’s a separate topic!).

I have however loved the bairn but baby is starting to feel heavier in it. I think I still have quite some use in it, especially for shorter carries but I suspect it may soon become uncomfortable for longer carries (baby does 90% of naps here and I’ve basically given up on stroller so I’m wearing then for hours everyday).

My husband has the nook which I found to be very supportive but I don’t like how difficult it is to adjust when baby is in, so if you don’t get a perfect fit on the first go, you’re a bit stuck.

I’ve been eyeing up the oscha cairis - partially because I’ve clearly just become addicted to oscha but also because I’ve read that a half buckle will give a more custom fit and be more supportive than a full buckle.

Is this insane? Will a half buckle offer no material difference vs a full buckle?

TULA hasn’t even hinted at it on their socials but I’m signed up for their newsletter and it looks like there’s going to be a rebrand? Or they’re discontinuing their current styles and coming out with a brand new carrier? Personally so curious to see what this “new chapter” will bring… maybe an apron style carrier??? What are y’all’s thoughts?

I already own a Hope and Plum Lark and an Ergobaby Omni deluxe (cotton). My baby and I like them both, but I find the waterfall waist more comfortable as my baby sits a little higher and this prevents his feet colliding with my thighs when I walk.

I’ve been wanting a Tula FTG for a little while now because i love some of the prints, it has a waterfall waist, very adjustable, and looks like bulkiness is somewhere between Lark and Omni which would be nice.

Would it be over consumption? What would the FTG add to my collection? My baby doesn’t always like being in a carrier, but some days he is happy in it and can even fall asleep. He is 5 months but wears 12month clothes.

I also wonder whether the baby will be able to stick his hands out on the side or up by his face in the FTG? He doesn’t like not being able to move his hands at all.

Hi, this is how my husband wears our daughter in the ergobaby carrier. I think she is too loose but he won’t tighten it much more because he thinks she will be too tightly pressed into him. Looking for some ideas and critiques for how we can appropriately wear her. Thanks!

I have a general question that has bugged me for a while. I get the concerns about world facing, however my little one refuses to be carried otherwise. So I have to always carry him in a way that he sees the most of the world. This has been the case since he was just a few weeks old.
Now he is still too young to be world facing in a carrier but I wanted to know what the difference between carrying him around all the time world facing and him being in a carrier world facing is.

English is not my first language, so I hope it’s not too confusing and please excuse any mistakes :)

Hi!! My 3 mo has outgrown his ergobaby embrace carrier which I’ve absolutely loved. It’s so soft yet supportive, and we’ve been able to nurse and nap on the go. My in laws generously gifted me an Artipoppe so I’m trying it out now, but I find the waistband to be uncomfortable- it digs into my waist and I don’t love the halter neck vs the shoulder straps of the Embrace.

What carrier would you recommend I look into, given how well the Embrace worked for us? I see a lot of good reviews for the Hope & Plum Lark, but what else? A ring sling for nursing on the go perhaps?

I found out after purchasing that the BabyBjörn carrier isn’t exactly a favorite, but this is what I have access to at the moment.

Does the fit look alright, taking into account the downfalls of this particular carrier model? This is about as much of an M shape as I’m able to get his legs into.

Baby is 7 weeks old and 13 lbs, so he’s a bigger baby.
