Picked up the Positive Grid Spark Go recently and wanted to see how it worked with the OP1, and wow this turned out great. So easy. And it just adds to the portability of it all. If you’ve never tried any PG products they are pretty good for the price and what they offer. The amp models aren’t too bad and definitely usable (more options for guitar but the bass ones are good enough).
I use a wireless setup from my bass to the spark and I’ve never had an issue.
This was my first go at it. But I’ll record more in the future of live playing.

I recently bought a Yorkville 200W bass amp and initially used it in a shed for band rehearsals. I never noticed any buzzing or rattling while I was using it there.
I’ve since moved it to my house, which is about 50 km away in the country, and I’ve started noticing a strange noise. I’m not sure whether it’s coming from the amp, something in the room resonating, or possibly the bass itself.
The noise only seems to happen with certain notes, particularly when I play below low C or when I bend the G string from the 11th to the 12th fret. It sounds more like a vibration/rattle coming from the room or amp rather than normal fret buzz.
I also removed the front grille to have a look at the speaker. There appears to be one large speaker/cone, but there’s also an empty space underneath it. I can’t tell whether this is supposed to be empty or whether there was originally a tweeter or another speaker installed there.
Does anyone know much about Yorkville amps and their older 200W bass combos? Was this space originally intended for a tweeter, and if so, can a tweeter be added/replaced? Or is the empty space part of the original design?
I’ve attached some photos of the amp/speaker and the empty section. Any help identifying the model or what should be there would be greatly appreciated!

I have had this cabinet for a while (Idk how long, my dad gave it to me), and I have a bass head I intend on using on it, but I have no clue what the ohm rating is. The only identifying features are 4 speakers, it is 24x24 inch, and it was made by Jade Australia. I am thinking it is from the 1990s?

I'm trying to find a good bass amp head that sounds good on guitar as well, I have the peavey mark 3 xp series right now and I love how it sounds for guitar, but I want to trade or upgrade because it does do all I want for bass.
For bass I need something that can do like brown album primus really dark and thumpy slap. I also need it to be able to do really big way huge pickle fuzz punk tones. For guitar, I do a lot of shoegaze, and also some jack white fuzz kinda stuff
Im running Ibanez sr500e, an Electra Phoenix basses, and a washburn x30 guitar through a keeley bass compressor (and whatever gain pedals I decide to stack on top of it)
Right now im looking at an ampeg pf500 but not really sure, what do you guys think?
I also already have a boss katana Gen 2 100w but don't love how it sounds like I do the peavey, so I might also be open to sell/trade for something amp head/amp head related

Hi I just traded someone for this 1968 Sunn 2000s bass amp. After I played with it for like 10 min I started hearing cracking and gets worse the louder I play. My initial thought is the tubes are bad (they are the original sunn tubes) since they are almost 60 years old and are looking pretty rough, but could it be something else? Thanks!

I play bass in an indie/lofi folk band and I have spent a long time battling both my fretless jazz and fencer rumble to get a nice round tone. I love my bass and the amp is all I can afford. my main question is how come when I put it on a chair so it can project more, all my lo end goes away? (Hopefully this made some sense)

I am currently running a Phil Jones BG400 4x5" combo with a Phil Jones Cab 67 6x7" extension cab. They sound great clean and the lows are some of the best I've ever gotten out of a bass amp. The problem is that I absolutely hate tweeters, and Phil Jones cabs don't come with tweeter attenuators. So unless I'm running a low pass filter or cab sim at the end of my pedal chain, the highs get way too chirpy and harsh when I run dirty or wet effects. The filter solution isn't ideal because I do still want to be able to get some highs.
What cabs are good these days for broad and deep frequency response without harsh high end?

I play mostly metal and punk rock, and am stuck between the 1x12, the 1x15, and the 2x12. Any tips?

Fender bass man neo 810. Gigged this set up man times. Practiced at full volume even more. Buddy got a new house. Start recording at his house on low volume no issues. His new house doesn’t have grounds in the outlets so I use a good search protector between the outlet and the head. First practice at his house volume at about 4 on the head. Played about 7 minutes and smoke starts coming from the horn knob. 1000w can 4 ohms. 1000w head 4 ohms. Peavy mini mega head. Running a boss gt between bass and head for effects. Horn? turns with horn knob so the bolts are loose. Fuses still look good. Any ideas on the issue would help thank you for your time. Any ideas on where else to post this or someone to talk to would be appreciated

Cross posting to try to widen my net for solutions. Trying to find an easy way to viable or bypass the onboard phaser on my mk 3 musician. Phaser is always present and driving me and my bandmates crazy!
Thanks in advance

Had this wonder of Spanish engineering for around 10 monts, just sold it last week to fund a GK MB 212 combo (MK I), it's a spanish-made copy of... something? I've heard it was based on a bassman (my guess) , a Marshall, an Ampeg, whatever (I have the schematic in case anyone could recognize any similarities or wants to try and recreate it to see how it would sound), slightly modded too, it was cool, heavy, unwieldy, only played it like 3 times but it sounded nice and beefy, and it was surprisingly versatile though I found that out when doing the sound demo to the seller, the cab... Jesus, I pulled this up by sheer strength up 14 steps of my stairway and I still don't know how I did it, it's probably going no where though it's up for grabs. Can't wait to get something I can actually carry without risking a vertebrae, in the meantime, R.I.P!
