[Help needed] Filming proposal

Hi everyone, I'm an Australian who is proposing to my girlfriend in Bath on 7 September. I have planned a surprise at a local place and I'd like to secretly film our reaction. The only sticking point is I don't have a spare camera (or extra time beforehand to set up one).

Would anyone be able to help me out? It would be for the morning and a maximum of one hour (plus any effort sending the footage across). If you think you might have a video camera (or even a phone) which I could use for the occasion, I'd be very grateful.

Happy to share more information for anyone who may be available.

Are you just wanting it to be filmed? I can help you out and film it on my phone or my camera (if I can find it, but it’s a Nikon). Your partner won’t know me so she wouldn’t suspect anything? Or do you want more of a professional photographer?

Yes just filmed, and anything is really fine! The actual filmed part will only be around 10 minutes anyway – I can send you more information in a DM.

Also, just to clarify, I've booked a private place and the only people who will be seeing it is my partner and our families.

You can film anyone in public legally, there is no expectation of privacy. Exceptions being when for a nefarious reason such as upskirting or when in a compromised position such as in a toilet.

If they're in a public place, they can legally be filmed. I am presuming the poster means"secret" as in "film so my gf doesn't catch on I'm about to propose" not "film in a creepy way through a bore hole in a hotel room wall".
