DLSS mod
I see lot of people creating very good mods for the game. And since I dont think we will ever see sequel that will improve graphic engine. I wonder if anyone can do a DLSS mod for the game.
From google AI search i figured the implementation could be pretty tricky. But I am sure we have lot of tech wizards here among us :)

The issue is, dlss is only useful if you are trying to upscale an image from a smaller resolution to a bigger one. This helps with performance in a gpu bound game. Battletech is more cpu bound so we wouldn't really benefit from that. I guess if you want to play a 1080p res up to 4k , but that would be the only advantage.

I'm not exactly sure of what this would get anyone.
Not only would implementation be a nightmare, trying to graft such a feature onto the 2018 unity engine the game uses, but I also don't see what it would accomplish.
The main point of DLSS is to boost framerate when the GPU is the bottleneck of the game, but by and large this game is CPU and memory bandwidth bottlenecked. I suspect/know there are probably better things that could be done that would give better real performance gains.

Bluntly put, you don't need a DLSS mod for this. It wouldn't do anything.
The graphics are extremely modest. It will run very happily on extremely old graphics hardware. We're talking 970s and earlier. When the game came out I had a GTX970 and I was blowing the recommended specs out of the water and not even really stressing the card.
Where the game bottlenecks, hard, is processor and to a lesser extent ram. The version of Unity it's on is a trainwreck, and loading it down with mods (awesome and imo necessary as they may be) doesn't make things better. I haven't looked in a while but I'm pretty sure it's single threaded too which makes it all that much worse.
What the game needs is an engine rebuild but, sadly, that's a bit beyond the scope of modders.
Frankly it's kind of impressive how much an old game like this still crushes even very good, modern CPUs with the weight of all its bullshit.
