Do we think it was stolen or lost in USPS purgatory? has anyone had issues with these blue mailbox drop offs in bedstuy? I mailed both of the letters to addresses within NYC/NJ :(

Hey! I (24F) live on the border of bed stuy and clinton hill and I’m looking for a personal guitar teacher in my area. I’m in between being a beginner and intermediate, I can do bar chords (not always with perfection), hammer ons, pickups, etc. but I probably have incorrect technique as I am self taught. I would love to formalize my skills and fill in learning gaps as they relate to both theory and practice.

I’m interested in learning folk, jazz, classical, bossa nova, and things of that sort. I always play finger style. I mostly play on a cheap acoustic, though i have a long distance electric that I’ll soon be reunited with, and am planning on buying whatever kind of classical guitar that $300 can buy me.

I started playing guitar to accompany my singing, but I would like to graduate from the campfire guitar. In terms of my musical background, I have a good understanding and intuition of relationships between notes relative to a scale due to my classical singing background. What I’m not great at is understanding notes in an absolute way meaning I’m not good at scales.

I'm brooo000oo0o0o0ooooke, and about out of food. I know there are free fridges, but most of the ones I've walked past, regardless of neighborhood, are usually empty, or have like, One Lemon and Nothing Else in them.

Anyone have spots they go to where you don't have to worry you picking up a bag of greens or carrots that were there by surprise aren't the last thing the fridge will see for like the next two months? I don't want to take stuff in low-stock fridges, because I can live off of the few Sad Things I have before I start a new job (going on like week 2 of oatmeal for most meals, a bag of lentils, portioning out my last bag of frozen veggies to last longer by eating less), especially if there are regulars that rely on it. People who are homeless, or who have families, etc.

I'm in school Mondays and Wednesdays from morning to afternoon, so can't wait in food lines on those days. The school is not a major college, and is moreso an experimental program; they just link students to other maps of food donation spots, but don't have direct resources for us.
