Requesting community support Will this work as a DIY interceptor?

This is a paint bucket lid (black). Smaller paint buckets would be the raisers for my air mattress.

I'm not sure about the black bit. They probably wouldn't be able to climb the white bit. Not sure how it goes on the bed.

Bit hard the judge the dimensions and slipperyness.

Yes that is where I got the idea for the dust sheet/drop plastic. The white buckets would be what rises the air mattress, and props the air mattress up so it’s not touching the ground. The black things are paint bucket lids that have a lipped ridge, which I was thinking could act as a sort of interceptor

yeah dunno. If you catch a bug you can run experiments on different surfaces! I found mine couldn't get traction at much over 45 degrees on the dust sheet.

Oil of any sort tends to kill them if you put it in the moat.
