Anyone ever had a parking charge for the M&S Lisburn Road Car Park for overstaying your welcome.

We parked up bought lunch items and met a friend in the park with the kids.

Then went back into M&S on way back and did a substantial shop.

Today a parking fine landed in the post.

Really annoying when so many park up from under 2 hours and don’t buy a thing! And it only the in out time they are monitoring not if people shopped there.

Just wondering if anyone knew of any places in the city that does good German beer on draught?

I am trying to get my dad’s old record player up and running and am struggling to find a vintage amp and pair of speakers anywhere in Belfast/Northern Ireland.

Would any kind folk have anything lying around that they aren’t using anymore or maybe your parents have something in the attic that hasn’t been used for years and would be willing to sell?

The record player is a 1970’s Trio (Kenwood) KD-2055 and I would be looking for something from the same era that would power them and maybe an old set of Wharfedale speakers or something similar.

Are there any groups in around Belfast specifically for birding / wildlife walks etc? Or even alternatively, are there any bird hides nearby to Belfast? There are some down south but from looking around up here I've not found any as yet!

I have had many autoimmune type symptoms for years, which are getting worse. GP thinks possible fybromylagia or POTS but it could be any number of conditions. Been on rheumatology waiting list since 2109 and am told it will be at least another 3 years. I am considering going private but could only afford initial consultation. Is there any point in doing this as I assume no tests or diagnosis will take place? Keen to hear about other people's experiences. Many thanks.

I have 3-4 bin bags of clothes that are too used/ ripped/ too well worn for charity shops- does anyone know any places that accept rag bags?

A few charity shops used to and would get money for them but a lot don’t seem to anymore. I asked in my local Connswater Cancer Research & was told that they no longer accept rag bags due to the amount of donations they’re receiving. I was advised that there was a bin in the car park of the Castlereagh Road Tesco where rag bags could be dropped off but when I visited, I could only see a Salvation Army clothing bin and it looked like this was for donating acceptable pieces of clothing.

I was at a wedding recently. The only time I go out is for things like weddings, funerals etc. probably because I don't drink or take drugs while the male toilets are packed with people of all ages sniffing cocaine. It used to shock me but it's actually become normal now. I noticed a few young lads sniffing some kind of stuff that looked like wee thin bits of glass. As in most cases, one of them offered me some. I declined lol but was curious what it was so I just asked. KETAMINE! Literally sniffing ketamine up their noses. One lad poured some into a cigarette paper, twisted it closed and swallowed it.

How can people who have been drinking all day take an actual horse tranquilizer then go mad on the dancefloor instead of going unconscious?

Is this a new thing or is it popular? It seemed to be young lads taking it but they were giving it older , respectable looking fellas too. One guy just sat at his table all night with his mouth hanging open, drooling. Everybody else seemed highly stimulated.

I wanted to ask where to socialize and split some G-s before the concert

Hi everyone! I’m an international student starting my course at Queen’s University Belfast this September, and I’m planning to move to Belfast around 20th September or shortly after.

I’ve applied for Queen’s accommodation but haven’t heard back yet, so I’m also looking for private student accommodation as a backup.

Ideally, I’m looking for somewhere that is:

• Close to Queen’s University (preferably within a 15–20 minute walk)
• Safe and in a decent area
• Ensuite/preferably with a private bathroom
• Reasonably priced
• Most importantly, available on an 8-month contract

I’ve found quite a few options online, but almost everything seems to require a 51-week contract, which doesn’t work for me. I’ll be moving out with my family around the end of May, so I only need accommodation from around late September until the end of May.

If anyone knows of any student accommodation, private landlords, groups, websites, or other options where I could find an 8-month/short-term contract, I’d really appreciate your advice!

Hey, would anyone have any recommendations for independent mechanics in/around Belfast that specialise in Citroen/Peugeot, particularly engine work?

Been to a couple different mechanics with an intermittent engine issue I’m having with my Citroen and they’ve all p much identified the fix needed, but they won’t take on the work.
