Feed Spoilers ______ needs to make a move! Spoiler

if I was Angela and see Devins save dee using the DPOV, then dee returning the favor with using the stone of safety during the twist i would be looking else where for people to work with. That would tell me I'm essentially just a number to them (just like drew and Barrett)

Now is Angela's perfect time.

She should know that Barrett isn't fully committed to the crossovers due to his vote to save Mallory and being so adamant about not voting her out. Also being super upset about her leaving.

Since Angela isn't winning comps this season, and Devins is on the block...... now it's the time to make her move. Now is the time to get with the other side of the house and Barrett to see if they could initiate a flip to get Devins out.

Yes I know the plan is to possibly blindside Devins, but Angela can add fuel to the fire!

Player Discussion Why isn’t ____ strategy shifting?

Why isn’t Dee’s strategy at this point shifting to making final 2’s and 3’s under the logic that nobody sent to Jury besides Devens is going to vote for a Survivor player to win the money, let alone a Survivor winner who got the million already.

We’ve seen from countless BB alums they want the winners to stay in the “BB family” and Dee is literally coming from Survivor/The Challenge.

I don’t see anyone on this Jury not being bitter with how much blood Dee has on her hands to get votes from anyone left in the house. She’s playing the “rules for thee, not for me” style which works in other shows but really fails at BB because jury management is so important.

Episode Spoilers A look at the history of Blockbuster comps, and what the options are for 28's remaining Blockbusters Spoiler

To start, this is a list of all the Blockbuster comps that have been ever used:

26:

Count the faces Bigscreen (Kimo won)

Oversized jigsaw (Tucker won)

Wind tunnel (Tucker won)

Roll balls up slope (Makensy won)

Spelling Bigscreen (Chelsie won)

Oversized block puzzle (Makensy won)

Unwind rope (Rubina won)

27:

Spelling Bigscreen (Kelley won)

Oversized jigsaw (Adrian won)

Count the differences Visual (Kelley won)

Table maze (Rylie won)

Oversized bejeweled (Keanu won)

Roll ball down winding path (Mickey won)

Build ball path down angled ramp (Kelley won)

Wind tunnel (Vince won)

Unwind rope (Keanu won)

Clown shoe veto (Lauren won)

28:

Count the faces Bigscreen (Yash won)

Oversized bejeweled (Jason won)

VHS jenga sprint (Mallory won)

Oversized jigsaw (Drew won)

Roll balls up slope (Haley won)

Wind Tunnel (Angela won)

Count/Spot the difference? Bigscreen/Visual (Drew won)

-------

Looking at the comps and the broad archetypes that each fits into, each season has had:

-2 Bigscreen/visual comps - count the faces, spot the difference, spelling unscramble: (26 weeks 1 and 5, 27 weeks 1 and 3, 28 weeks 1 and 7)

-2 Oversized puzzles - jigsaw, and some kind of block puzzle: (26 weeks 2 and 6, 27 weeks 2 and 5, 28 weeks 2 and 4)

-1 Wind tunnel comp: (26 week3, 27 week8, 28 week6)

-1 rope unwinding comp: (26 week7, 27 week9)(Has not happened yet in 28)

-1 or 2 of an assortment of rolling "Ball Comps": Roll up slope (26 week4, 28 week5); Roll down winding path (27 week6); Build path down angled ramp (27 week7)

-And the three one-time unique others:

The 28 VHS comp, the 27 Clown Shoe Veto comp (i guess you could call these "sprinting comps"? I don't think they're connected but who knows) - along with the 27 week4 Table Maze

-----------

There are, assumedly, about 3 more Blockbusters left. Looking at the comp types/trends/patterns/etc above, the remaining options for BB28's future Blockbuster comps are:

Rope Unwinding

Table Maze

One more "Ball Comp"

Clown Shoe Veto

Some new, unique comp that doesnt fit any prior archetype (like the 28 VHS comp)

Player Discussion Lala’s gameplay is confusing to me

Is she faking being and at the game, or is she really bad at the game? I can’t tell!!! I’ve been working so much that I haven’t seen every episode and I’m popping in and out of the live feeds. Please someone who’s like clued in, help me understand.

Early in the season, she was asking Taylor very “obvious” questions that made me believe that she was playing dumb.

Then, she told someone when she was HOH (Chuk?) that she was faking clueless.

but I’m catching up on episodes and I just got to the part where Taylor and her have a confrontation about her interrogating Angela, followed by the conversation with Yash. Now she’s crying? She was crying after Kamu’s eviction vote too? It’s giving why are you crying? When Angela was crying she was like dry those tears, be strong, so in my head I’m like is she faking crying too? Because we know Angela knows how to fake cry and play kook.

Do yall think she’s acting? How much longer do you think that she can get away with acting clueless if she is? I’m so confused. You guys, I’m a relatively new watcher.

I did just look up an interview where she says that she was watching back since Season 2 and got into it and fell off for a while and came back. So now I’m really thinking that she’s playing a strategy. I just can’t tell if it’s a good strategy. Maybe she‘ll lock in during Jury????

Mind you, Taylor stays playing captain save a sis and I feel like this is affecting Taylor’s gameplay! Sigh. Please help me understand.

General Discussion The idea that vets (in the vets vs rookies format) come into the game with a disadvantage because they have big targets is a misconception

One very common misconception is that being a vet playing against rookies is a disadvantage, with the reason being that the vets will be targeted by the rookies immediately.

If you look at the history of vets vs rookies seasons, I don't think there's a single example of this ever actually happening. The vets are almost always in the best positions early on.

My point is that it's actually the opposite. The vets have a huge advantage because there's a skill gap between vets and rookies. It's not an even playing field because the vets have experience. And there's many examples of the benefits of having experience. For example, compare Rachel's skills as a player in BB12 to her skills in BB27. It's virtually two different players, and her BB27 edition is so much better than her BB12 edition. Nicole Franzel, Paul, and Angela are three other quintessential examples of this trend. They all looked like much better players as vets playing against rookies because they were better players because they improved with experience.

Thus it's actually a huge advantage to be a vet and get to play against rookies not a disadvantage. vets are, on average, just much better players than rookies.

And when people evaluate players I think should take this into account. Like if Barrett for example wins this season I think there will be lots of people underrated his game because they're not taking into account that he had the massive challenge of, as a rookie, playing against vets with a huge edge over him.

Episode Spoilers BB28 Week 7 Prediction and Houseguest Flair Round-up Spoiler

Prediction Flair Round-Up, Week 7 (and bonus Week 7.5)

Prediction flairs (flairs with the 100% emoji) were available until the start of the episode on Sunday, July 12th.

Posting this up a little late this week, took a small vacation (yay!). As a consolation prize, I added flair statues from after the Sunday episode (W7.5).

You might notice I changed the wording from W7 Change to W7 Δ (delta). This was done in an attempt to fit more data on the screen and keep it easier to read. I also removed the earlier weeks for the same reason. You can find past data here.

The 33 users that still had Mallory as a prediction flair are out.
437 users are still in it. Good Luck!

With everything going on with the twist, I added an extra set of data as a little bonus this week. Yash's popularity has seen a huge spike this week, while all members of FAP have dropped - with Drew seeing the biggest drop. I love looking at this stuff, so please feel free to ask me any questions about it!

Feed Spoilers Win Equity of the players Spoiler

Its very interesting thinking about the win equity each player has so far and there are very few that I think the houseguests view as winner material. Obviously there is more game left to play and anything could happen.

Melody - Possibly has the worst win equity in the house and she knows it. I think she could use this lack of a threat to to her advantage but has no close allies or power in the game.
Needs to win something to have an impact. Not like Ashley from bb27, who at
this point seemed to not have win equity, because Ashley at least was in
people's ears. Melody screams, cries, and hangs with Drew. Drew tells her she
has a good social game but that is just good social standing.

Drew - Likely the worst win equity in the house and doesn't really know it. Thinks he can win against
icons/Barrett (I think) but knows he doesn't have a resume. He has done more
than I think he gets a credit for but it was all group work and benefitting
other's games. He is seen in the game as an icon puppet and seen as disposable
by the icons. Even if Devens goes home on his HOH, it will not be his move, it
will likely be Barrett's.

Barrett - Probably wins against Melody and Drew, maybe against Taylor/La La(because of his crossover and fap connections) but against Yash/the icons (maybe Angela), its looking
rough. This flip could build his resume but an HOH after would be even more
impressive. I don't know what his plans are after the flip and it could either
really benefit his game or become public enemy #1.

Yash - I think Yash has the most win equity of the newbies and the most of the entire house possibly. I could see Devens/Dee putting up a fight in the F2, especially if they run the
second half of the game too, but I think Yash sitting in the chairs is a good
outlook for him. The newbies would likely vote him over an icon no matter what,
minus Drew, so that means he needs all the newbies in the jury and to sit next
to someone like Angela. Yash I think has all the newbies (minus Drew) votes because
he has been this pillar for them to have some power in this game. His bribe
hurts his game because if he wins HOH and nominates Melody, Drew, and Barrett,
then renoms Taylor or LaLa, that ruins a lot of his goodwill.

La Trice - She is very interesting because she is seen as a comp threat in the house but not a game
threat. The houseguests think Taylor ran LaLa's HOH (but still say she does
nothing lol). I think she could win against Drew and Melody. I am not sure
against Taylor. LaLa staying could allow for her to beast more comps,
especially if they get more physical and that could build her resume. I think
LaLa wins against Angela but Devens and Dee, I'm not sure. LaLa's perception in
the game is so interesting because I don't think they'll consider her as having
a chance to win until she's in the F3.

Taylor - Everyone but Yash and LaLa think Taylor does nothing. Even though they say she ran LaLa's
HOH and was guaranteed safe in any scenario vs Drew and Mallory when she was on
the block. I don't think she gets the strategic credit she deserves but I think
she needs to win an HOH to prove herself. Like Barrett, I think she actually
has great potential but needs a couple of moves to brag about. I think she can
make a compelling case against Drew, Melody, and Barrett. But the icons (and
Drew) have all been saying they would be mad if Taylor won the game so I think
they have a bitter idea of her for interesting reasons that is invalid. She
definitely doesn't win against Yash (as of right now) and LaLa, I think rn its
a toss up.

Devens - Had great equity before volunteering for the block, he's putting his game in unnecessary
jeopardy. If he makes it through this week and steamrolls with the icons +
Drew, I think he wins against anyone. If hes in the F2 against Yash, I think
the newbies would vote Yash (minus Drew). I think he has had more of the flashy
moves and checks in on relationships more than Dee and he wins against her.

Dee - Pretty rough win path honestly. If Devens goes home and she doesn't win power next week, and someone other than Yash or Drew wins HOH, she could be very vulnerable. I think
the entire house feels burned by her in some way or another. Melody and Barrett
are pissed about Mallory. Taylor is Dee's go to nominee, and I bet Yash would
like her out on someone else's HOH if possible. I think she wins in F2 against
Angela, Melody, Drew, and maybe LaLa. Devens leaving could be terrible for her
game or it could force her to pivot to building relationships with other
people, somehow.

Angela - I think Angela and Melody are great people to bring to the F2 because I don't think people see them as doing much. I think both icons win against Angela. Yash definitely wins
against her. Barrett likely does, LaLa I think does(though Barrett may vote for
Ang), Taylor wins against Angela. I think Angela, at this point wins against
Melody but losing Haley was terrible because that was her best F2 option.

Don't Spoil Me! What am I Missing?? - please no spoilers.!!!

I have seen through Sunday’s episode. I’m confused about something: the episode left us on a cliffhanger. Haley is still in the year 1000. The remaining players all seem to be gunning for Barrett to put them into play…but only two will get stones of sacrifice. Meaning three people will face off in this final round. The winner will get to evict one of the two who lose. But there will be one person who doesn’t have to play at all…is that right? And if you don’t play, you can’t be eliminated. So why are people begging Barrett to send them in? We have la la, Taylor, and yash left…and it feels like they all want to play (unless I’m missing something…I was making school lunches while I watched…) but if you don’t get picked, you’re safe, right? So what am I missing?

General Discussion I’m curious; Do you recommend the live feeds to others?

I used to but I don’t anymore. As soon as a lot of meaningful conversations start we get the BBBeat or for no reason at all really (why so dang many interruptions!!). I hate that beat with a passion. I think after this season I may be done with them. It’s become more frustrating than fun lately, but especially this season. What do we get with them that we don’t ultimately see in the episodes? I need examples please (aka a reason to stay 🤣).
Ps. I couldn’t care less about showmances except for how they may or may not directly impact strategy.

Feed Spoilers Manifestation for Thursday Spoiler

Alright my wife and I have been discussing possible scenarios going on Thursday. We have decided what the best case scenario is. The episode starts off with Julie coming out and letting us know that it is a 2 hour episode with many surprises, but starts with eviction. Lala wins BBB. The icons are blindsided by Devens being evicted 4-2. Then after Julie does Devens interview she lets us know that tonight is double eviction. Melody wins HOH and noms Dee and Angela. Yash wins veto and doesn't use it. Dee is evicted unanimously. As fans are cheering and astonished by the craziness that just happened, Julie lets us know that this episode isn't over yet and that two house guests will compete to come back into the game like in BB25. The two houseguests are Mallory and Haley. Haley is super bubbly and tries like really hard but comes up extremely short to Mallory, having one more bad day in the Big brother house :'( the Pipe Queen returns to her throne.

Player Discussion Why is she in the house?

Why is Angela in the house still? I dont get it. She emotional about just about everyone and paranoid about all players. She cant win anything. Besides her block buster. Which lets face it was weird. Can anyone tell me why they keep bringing her back?
