Officer pulls me over on my bicycle after he had to stop short from turning left. I had the right of way heading south on Common st toward Belmont st. Officer was coming from the south on common st, turning onto Trapelo but because he didn’t see me he assumed I ran a red light.
Belmont Police don’t know their own traffic laws.

I witnessed a U-Haul van (AZ plates) run a right on red arrow and hit a blue bike rider.

The rain is no excuse. Being new to the city is no excuse. This has got to stop.

For me it is a reminder that not everyone pedestrian you pass is necessarily in his or her right mind!

Also, if a pedestrian is yelling at you while you are on a bike, and you were planning to go to the library, maybe just postpone the library trip.

You've seen other posts here about how the current administration wants to stop funding bike lanes and even fund their removal. Here's an easy step you can take to encourage your representatives to oppose such efforts. It's probably way more impactful than arguing online. I personally called the offices of:

I left a message as follows: Sean Duffy asked congress to consider adding wording to defund bike lanes and road diets to the surface transportation reauthorization bill. I support bike lanes and road diets and think congress should continue funding them. Please oppose efforts to defund them. Thank you.

And tell them enough information about yourself to verify that you are indeed their constituent.

If you are nervous about calling, I'll note that for Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey, I effectively left a message, and didn't have to talk to a human.

Saw this officer sitting in his vehicle while multiple people on mopeds were illegally riding up and down the SW Corridor. Don’t believe BPD’s supposed “Targeted Enforcement.”

It’s a short clip, but at no point did the officer lift a finger, except to scroll his phone. Waste of taxpayer-funded overtime.

How difficult is is to get from the Rockingham Recreational trail to the NH Seacoast Greenway?

Going up to the in-laws in MA this weekend and trying to stitch together some trials into a nice day trip.

Hi, moving from Concord to Fenway soon and I wanna ride to my new apartment. Gonna take the Minuteman to Alewife, then how do I get to the Charles? Google says to make Mass Ave through Cambridge, but the bike lanes look like a deathtrap and the road seems too fast without enough traffic lights to take the lane.

Also how is biking here? Where can you take the lane? Where do you go for long training rides? I've biked in the SF bay area and New York, the bike lanes were deathtraps so usually took the lane, but traffic was slow with a lot of traffic lights and multi lane one way roads. Also I feel Mass drivers might be more aggressive than the other cities I've biked. My fitness is decent I can hold 18mph comfortably. Thanks!

New to area, the audacity and arrogance is unfathomable

I’m in the bike lane, coming from the camera’s direction, and almost get clipped down by an SUV coming into the shoulder before the crosswalk and with two cars in front of her. *She* ended up yelling at *me*. This was at Seaport Boulevard and Sleeper St, crossing into the Seaport

Like Boston is really one of the safest places to bike in the US and honestly the police here do a good job! I see someone pulled over for speeding more than
once a week! Yet every post goes out of its way to make people seem more aggressive than they are on my daily biking adventures through Boston and say like people are generally terrible. This is the only athletic community I’m a part of that does that

There’s no fun biking stories, like this subreddit makes bikers look like a terrible and unhappy community to join
