If I recall correctly, the smell receptors in your nose work best in warm, damp environments. That's kind of why they evolved to be in the nose. So it just so happens that your nose works best in the shower, but you're not likely to be exposing yourself to new sources of strong smells while in the shower either.

At least, besides the ones you generate yourself.

I’m not into farts or have a fart fetish, but god there’s something satisfying about being alone and absolutely destroying the airspace for a moment with a single burst of air.
