Bitcoin never had a red February after a red Janruary or a green March after a red February, until this year. 2026 is setting all kinds of new trends.

September will be a wonderfully stubborn month for those diamond hands of yours. With Michael Saylor currently retrograde to the Ascendant of Fiat, the cosmic energies are pushing you to hiss at anyone using physical cash and try absorbing your daily vitamins directly from the blockchain. Expect sudden celestial urges to bury your hardware wallet in the neighbourhood cat's litter box just to keep it safe from solar flares. A promising romance might evaporate mid-month when you refuse to break eye contact at dinner, loudly insisting that waiting 45 minutes for a crypto payment to clear for breadsticks is your true "love language." Remember, you cosmic bull, cornering the mailman to explain how Scott Bessent's secret currency interventions are a coordinated attack on your altcoin portfolio does not actually count as small talk!

I donāt mind if it just drops 7% after July/August +30% rally. Pullbacks are healthy, it brings opportunity for new long-term money on the sidelines that missed the rally.

u/CARadders 4d ago
And and and! There has never been two consecutive red Octobers. So I fully expect whoever believes this mumbo jumbo to short the shit out of BTC and then buy the dip the month after. Easy peasy.

u/Professional_Golf393 3d ago
If you want to use that dumb logic, then look at the October that follows this green August, red September pattern. Huge rise every time.

Bitcoin doesn't care which month it is
0
u/EconomicAffairs 3d ago
Since inception average movement price on BTC for september: -3.4%. For April: +13%. Those are just averages, but yes, Bitcoin care which month it is. Seasonality its a factor in almost every asset class.
2
u/hodler1992 3d ago
You're still looking at Bitcoin through a fiat price lens. That's not what I meant. Bitcoin doesn't know what month it is and a historical average doesn't magically become a causal force because the calendar flips to September.
I don't hold Bitcoin because I expect every month to be green in USD terms. I hold it because I believe Bitcoin will outlast the monetary system it's currently being priced in. As long as fiat keeps losing purchasing power and Bitcoin keeps gaining relevance in the global financial system, short-term USD fluctuations are mostly noise to me.
So yes, September can be red. It can drop 20% for all I care. That doesn't change the thesis.
1
u/EconomicAffairs 3d ago
But why if i just say that BTC cares about which month is it (and this can be argued as the asset present super strong seasonality varing each month) you send me a text about your personal reason to invest in BTC. It just have nothing to do with the thing we are talking.

u/Nickovskii 4d ago
Ah short term speculationā¦. What else?
2
u/magical_matey 2d ago
We can do some long term speculation as well, we wouldnāt want to exclude people who hype the 4 year cycle. It happened 3 times already and is a bullet proof trend analysis. Also these people are all gambling on, I mean, investing in, this locked in guarantee. Youād be a fool not to put everything you own into BTC now

Itās never been easier to buy a hedge on ibit puts 2 month out.Ā Put 5% of fiat worth against near the money expiring early november

It may be a fact that it hasnāt happened before, that doesnāt make it a logical conclusion it wonāt happen now

u/eman2top 4d ago
Itās very possible that we have a bigger September. With the Iran war, oil prices being high, the AI bubble starting to burst, the fed money printer going burrrrr to stabilize the bond market, I think more money will be moving to risk free assets like precious metals and āæitcoin.

Oh my naive friend - you did not look at the position of moon and the direction of the wind !
See yesterday was a full moon, and the wind was blowing from the south. In this scenario green septermber is allowed after a red august.
We have nothing to worry. I have confirmed this with the local astrologer.

There were never two green months after a red February. Not once ever. In history. Until 2026.

The monthly net price movement of BTC is not predictive. There are no patterns established leading up to your point of prediction.

Bitcoin has always printed 3 green years followed by a red year, repeat. Until last year, it closed red. This is becoming astrology for bitcoiners. The game is changing likely due to Wall Street adoption.

By your logic do we just ignore the fat green in uptober?
Historically goes red single digits after green august and booms double digits upside the month after.
Not that I think this happens I just donāt like biased opinions. Maybe it goes up maybe it goes down in either case just sit back and zoom out and hodl. No stress.

u/2LostFlamingos 3d ago
Man look at 23 into 24⦠7 straight green months.
Iāll go for that again.

This is so dumb.
Something can be essentially random and still happen 4 times in a row - doesn't mean that it will go that way the 5th time.
Bitcoin has no fundamental reason for any particular value, it's driven 100% by market sentiment, and there's no reason to believe that sentiment goes one way in September if it went another way in August.

u/Mechanik_J 3d ago edited 3d ago
It doesn't matter, the dollar/fiat keeps losing buying power. And the wealthy, institutions, and countries keep accumulating btc. Even though btc is for regular people.
1
u/Nice-Range-7653 3d ago
I hope it plays out like every other timeā¦.. Iāll take 7-10% drop from here to accumulate some more before the rocket takes off in October and November

It can be actually red.
This, however, doesn't mean BTC will plummet to low 60K or below 60K.
I would like it to see in the low half of 70K somewhere between 70K and 73K.

Itās not about up and down so much as ranges, otherwise you could say hardly ever get consecutive green then red months. You need to take events into consideration not just historical patterns as itās the macro environmental changes that cause the movements.

You cannot predict the future. Just because the trend in the past shows it, it can still be a wild ride either way. Especially if the clarity act is passed.

u/Ordinary_Repeat7637 2d ago
Notice how every green August has a green October and 75% of them had a green November too. Gotta love how they conveniently left that part out.

Sounds like nonsense.
Bitcoin has never had a green month after a red month twice in a row when there was a full moon on the weekend prior to the first day of Halloween
