General Question Sealminer

Post image

I'm currently at the Bitcoin Asia event and just saw a SEALMINER machine a relatively new company. One thing that caught my eye is the A4 Pro Air: 360 TH/s at 10.9 J/TH. That's crazy for an air-cooled miner! Has anyone tried their machines before? How was your experience?

We have sold many of their A2 Air, A3 Hydro and A3 Pro hydro. The founder is a former member of Bitmain, rumor is deswei miners became bitdeer.

They are very robust, extremely competitive hashrate and efficiency wise but not price competitive.

They also like to announce things months in advance, the A2 Air was announced in august last year and didnt get first batch delivery until end of January.

The A4 has been on the horizon for about half a year now, so that may be a test mule but no real stock has been announced at the factory.

Bitdeer was founded by Bitmain cofounder Jihan Wu, Jihan later started Sealminer as the hardware brand behind bitdeer, then they purchased Desiweminer and merged the desiwe team and their patents with the Sealminer team to accelerate development.

805 the goat!
How are their machines performing? Are they prone to breaking?

Frankly nothing. We have a client running 100 a2s and had like 2 fans go out. That’s a nothingburger of an issue. Super solid in high low and medium modes. Psu’s rated for 5000W.

Sounds like a new rising star to me

They just need cost to go down, with more marketshare its bound to happen.

In all seriousness we've been running a few bitter miners on site as a test. They just run without issus

Those specs are pretty wild for an air-cooled miner, especially 310–360 TH/s at roughly 3.4–3.9 kW. I’d be curious about the actual noise level, thermals, and sustained hashrate once units are running outside the showroom.

The 310–360 TH/s range is wild for an air miner. The big question is whether it can maintain that performance in a normal room without becoming unbearably loud or dumping too much heat. Interested to hear hands-on impressions once people get units.

This brand spun off from Bitmain.

Didn't know that. Their salespeople there don't seem to know anything.

A lot of companies at conferences hire warm bodies to just sit there and look pretty at the booths and point you to the one guy with a little knowledge of what the company does or hand you a pen.

Sometimes they’ll just hire like 20 Chinese people from the city the conference is in, so it looks like they sent a ton of people from Shenzhen. They’re probably coached on what to say but don’t really pay attention since it’s just a 2 day gig.

As an A2 Pro owner, I can say that the equipment is excellent and the quality is top-notch.
