Instead, they likely just don’t get my business at all because i cba to “contact us for a price”.

It’s completely different if it’s a consultation though for a case-by-case basis. I get that.

you likely weren't the target customer then. It costs the business to nurture customers who aren't ready to spend.

Sure, I guess the target customer is someone who wants to get jerked around and then be told the price at the end.

I have no problem spending money, but I expect transparency from the start. I don’t think that’s some outlandish expectation.

Target customer is rich people who dont have to worry about money. People who can drop $10k without missing a step.

For you the priority might be the cost when purchasing something, but for a rich person thats the least of their concerns. Its a whole different mindset.
