I always get a toy catalogue for the kids before Christmas that is without prices. It uses a dice system instead. A dice with one point on it is in the below 10€ range and so forth.
That way, you can tell the kids how many points they can choose for (you get to "spend" 8 points in total) or you can say "you can choose one toy with 5 points and two with for points" for example.
I really like that system. It's also good for the company, I guess because they don't have to advertise fixed prices and can still change them within a certain range.
