i kinda like that to be honest. there's always the mourning and grieving, but it's nice when there's also a celebration of what this person meant to everyone there
when i die i want people to be remembering that food for years to come

Yeah mine will be one big party and there will be some of everything. I have it written out and if they don’t listen somebody’s getting haunted.

Funerals are for the living

That’s what a celebration of life is, not mourning but celebrating that we were blessed to have them in our lives. And yes, the food be on point!

Damn, what beef did you have with the dearly departed to not get an invite.

I didn't want to hear her last words. Told them not tell me then donated her body to science. I only snapped at one person. Otherwise I was nice to everybody. Buttheads..

This video is nothing but truth, but I will forever hate this song til the day I die.

But when it comes on can you resist doing the dance?

Absolutely. This song played every morning on my mom’s radio for my 7th and 8th grade years. The DJ was white and he’d play this song and “In Da Club” back to back. 0 exceptions.

If there’s no soul train line at my memorial service I’m telling God to start a thunderstorm for disobedience

Depends on the age of the person who died, though.

If it’s an old person and there’s other old people it’s the best. The aunties get it right too(sometimes). If everyone is 50 and under and didn’t stay in the kitchen under someone who could cook, just cater some Popeyes or something 😂

"Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I'll remember you all. IF you can only remember me tears, then don't remember me at all."
My people know. Ofc, you're allowed to mourn me, but allow that time to be short. I much rather you dance and laugh and dance and dance some more. 💃🏾
