There is another unit, it's a tech Bankai Renji. But those were the only two units Klab ever made with that mechanic

And besides actual "transfo buttons" (Renji, Rukia), there are also a few "transformation" characters (on special attack). E.g. OG Bankai Kenpachi, OG Yoruichi TYBW (the speed one, turning into a cat temporarily)... /u/AIZEN_9O

The starter gift heart Ichigo and it's mind counterpart also transform from shikai to bankai upon soulbomb. And Tokinada to name a few. Tybw true bankai ichigo also tranform into horn of salvation upon using s2. Cool stuff.

Now kebab doesn't do cool stuff like these anymore :/

It's a cool mechanic but it essentially doubles the cost of making a character, I doubt they'll ever bring the mechanic back

One of the most underrated mechanics in the game. Imagine we got a Dangai Ichigo as a base and he comes with this mechanic that lets him transform into Mugetsu. All his attacks would be different too like it is for Captain Rukia. That would be PEAK.

Make one character has double transform is already expensive as it does

They made Rukia and advertising it, ppl nuts
Then they put that on Renji who gets nerfed to balance the meta- no one gonna summon=> they lost
money then they stop making more for no reason

If u have a cool mechanics, be wisely put op skills on that units, a mediorce unit will never get sale

It’s a neat mechanic. However it has one GLARING issue. When you press that button your character is locked in place for a few frames with no invincibility frames. You are a sitting duck for enemies, especially in GQ where it is most useful. Functionally it is a flawed mechanic, no latter how cool/useful it is (also the button press doesn’t always register)
