soooo ICE is now stopping people in the parking lot at walmart. There are 2 flock cameras facing the roads near walmart so it is very likely that this kidnapping was captured by one of these. We should raise hell and try to get the city or the cucks who own those cameras to release the footage but given all the new shitty laws that Braun introduced they will protect these slave catcher cosplyaing nazi scum at all costs. Funny how these cameras are marketed to us as protection but they are there to protect the people kidnapping our neighbors to bring them to state funded concentration camps we all fund with our taxes against our will. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents surrounded a Honda Civic and detained its driver late Tuesday morning in the west-side Walmart parking lot, according to a witness who photographed and filmed the operation.

The photographs show several agents wearing tactical gear marked “ICE” gathered around the blue Honda. Multiple unmarked SUVs were positioned nearby. At least one agent wore a camouflage face covering.

The witness said they arrived shortly after 10 a.m. and saw three black SUVs with obscured license plates. Another vehicle arrived about five minutes later. By then, the witness said, agents had placed a man in the back seat of one of the vehicles.

A woman repeatedly approached and spoke with the agents, although the witness could not confirm her identity or relationship to the detained man. Other bystanders also began recording the operation.

Images and video of the detention were posted to social media Tuesday and quickly circulated. The Bloomingtonian obtained the photographs, video and a recorded interview with the witness.

The Bloomingtonian sent the photographs to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and asked whether they showed local sheriff’s deputies. “Not us,” the sheriff’s office responded.

The agents shown in the photographs wore tactical vests marked “ICE.”

The man’s identity, immigration status and whereabouts following the detention were not immediately known. It was also unclear whether agents were acting under an administrative immigration warrant or a warrant signed by a judge.

Finding someone after an ICE detention can be extremely difficult without the person’s legal name or federal alien registration number, commonly called an A-number. People taken into federal immigration custody do not necessarily appear in Monroe County jail records and may be transported to detention facilities outside the county or state.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office does not hold people solely on ICE detainers. The Bloomingtonian sometimes checks Clay County jail records following reported immigration arrests, but people detained in Bloomington are not always taken there.

The Bloomingtonian has received additional reports of apparent ICE detentions in Bloomington this week. Such operations are often over before reporters or community members can reach the location, leaving little immediate public information about who was taken, where the person was transported or why the person was targeted.

The Bloomingtonian is seeking additional information from ICE about Tuesday’s operation.

I'm at the end of my rope with my current job. I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I've been really struggling where I currently am at. I want something that's going to pay at least let me pay lower end rent. But I want something that I can also remain private with or at least something is accommodating for mental health. I really can't explain how bad it's getting where I'm currently working, it's in manufacturing but for privacy I'm not going to say further.

This may sound Immature, or like I'm asking too much, but I really don't want to go into work feeling like I dread it and hoping I don't wake up the next morning.

Colin Campbell, 43, of Bloomington, Indiana, has been missing for almost 60 days. Yet, his story has received limited media attention.

Although Colin fit the definition of both an Endangered Missing Adult AND High Risk Missing Person- A Silver Alert wasn’t issued for 30 days. A silver alert should have gone into effect immediately.

Colin has been missing since July 7, 2026.

According to Life360 data, Colin arrived in the East Pointe Rd area at 7:53 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7. His cellphone recorded its final location at 9:10 a.m in the same area before the battery died. East Pointe Road is within walking distance of his condominium.

A pair of (what’s believed to be) Colins sweatpants, his earbuds & nicotine gum were found on the rock bank here. The circumstances surrounding how these items came to be there remain unknown.

When family members checked on Colin, they found his vehicle still at his condo with his fishing gear inside. His front door was unlocked. Inside the residence were his keys, wallet, and his cat. His cellphone appears to have been the only personal item he took with him.

Family members, friends, volunteers and SAR teams have conducted extensive searches of the surrounding Lake Monroe area by both land and water. Businesses Colin regularly visited, including the Rusty Anchor restaurant and the adjacent gas station, have also been contacted, but no confirmed sightings or information have led to his whereabouts.

Colin’s birthday recently passed. We asked many Bloomington businesses to hang his flyer on this day. It was disappointing to see so many of them leave us on read. 💔

IU STUDENTS — DO NOT LIVE HERE. I AM SERIOUS. 🚨

After two years at The Village at Muller Park (VAMP), I can confidently say this is one of the biggest mistakes I made during college. I recently graduated from IU and moved out, and I feel like future students deserve to know exactly what they’re getting themselves into.

SAFETY: During Little 500 this year, I came home from work around 2 AM to an absolutely INSANE mob surrounding the complex. The parking lot was completely packed, people were jumping on cars, setting rags on fire, pulling on car doors, screaming and running through the lot, and I saw two people carrying what appeared to be large firearms. I called 911 and sat trapped in my car for 45 MINUTES waiting for police. I eventually had to leave and sleep somewhere else because I did not feel safe going home.

And that’s just one night. People regularly went through the dumpsters, groups hung around the parking lot at all hours, and I experienced neighborhood kids entering apartments when doors were left unlocked.

MANAGEMENT: An absolute nightmare. Staff enter apartments constantly for various reasons, and residents can be expected to move essentially EVERYTHING out of their apartment for work like carpet replacement. Try complaining and you’ll likely get a rude, dismissive response instead of an actual solution.

MOVE-OUT: This is where VAMP REALLY got me. I spent 6+ HOURS cleaning my apartment specifically so I wouldn’t get charged. I documented damage that existed BEFORE I moved in. I was still hit with approximately $700 in cleaning/damage fees, including charges for pre-existing issues. My dishwasher was broken when I moved in, remained broken for my entire lease, and I was STILL charged for it when I left.

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING. I cannot stress this enough.

PETS: It took MONTHS to get my dog registered. During that time, I was repeatedly threatened with hundreds of dollars in fees for having an “unregistered” pet. Months. For paperwork.

AMENITIES: The pool is constantly under maintenance, the pool coating literally turned my skin BLUE, and multiple pieces of gym equipment were broken for essentially my entire two years there.

The office will also send you enough emails to make you question whether they have anything else to do.

I understand that Bloomington housing is expensive and students need affordable options. But please do not confuse “affordable” with “worth it.” The amount of stress, frustration, unexpected charges, and safety concerns I experienced here was NOT worth it.

I am leaving this review because I wish someone had warned me before I signed my lease.

This Friday, September 4th, we are having kids bicycle races on the red clay of the Bloomington Speedway!

We have had a bunch of local businesses donate bicycles and helmets for the kids. The goal being that if you don’t have a bike at home you will get to take home a brand new bike after the races. There are a few different age ranges.
