I used to watch those dvds back to back: don’t quit your day job, qss, can I eat. I miss that raw street riding and footage.
Recently saw Brandon Begin’s part from ALYK and I think it pays a big homage to that era with the plus that his spots and trick selection is super well curated and executed

Begins ALYK part is the best part I’ve seen drop in years because of exactly that. Reminded me of the first time I watched Can I Eat. Was just as much about the unique setup as the tricks being done on it. Hell yeah.

😂 😂 I immediately thought of the S&M Castillo bar. Man I miss riding. It’s been like 20 years now since I last rode but.. I still remember it like it wasn’t long at all. The excitement from getting new parts in the mail and putting them on. Sitting in school itching to get out and go ride. Doing stupid ass things too like taking our entire bikes apart once every 2 months to re-spray the frame and shit different colors.
Those were the times.
