Design Critique Buildings icon evolution

My game is an Area Control game where a troop of mercenaries working for each of the biggest MegaCorporations (the players) retake a city from the grasp of a terrorist group to exfiltrate several "Metahumans".

Each area is a building/zone of the city and in some cases it was difficult to convey it into an icon (despite the card having the name on it) so i left it as it is.

Now, in the nth review i decided to make a better version of the buildings that didn't looked like buildings.
The second image is the set of current icons, with which im happy, and i think the new ones fit well.

Do you think it match the style of the general icons, or the last 3D is too overworked?
Do they read well? Should i aim for a more 3D style with the current ones?

Any suggestion for the Crater will be welcome.

I think they read very well. For the most part, the silhouettes are very distinct from one another. The last one I would not keep the perfect square blue edges, I think the shape of the building would be a stronger silhouette, but I understand why you did it. They look good. The colors pop.

Yeah, the bottom row (yellow Bus station and blue Town hall) are the next in the pipeline once i'm able to find a way for the crater. Thanks for the comment.

I love that the drawing is more complex as the building evolve, it strongly help to sell the continuity. My only grip is the change of perspective from top line to second line, as it increase the time to recognize.

But on the second page, you have *a lot* of very similar icones of buildings. I hope it is not that important to recognize and differentiate them, because it will be a nightmare to read your map instinctively.

YOu seems to use color to discern them, but color-blind people represent ~10-20% of the players. It is important to have another way to separate them beyond color code.

Sorry, i explained it badly. The buildings don't evolve, the evolution is for the iterations of the icons, on the top there are the original ones and each iteration i polished it more.

In the beggining the icons for the Crater, the Landfill, the Sports harbor and the Sewers were more abstract and i wanted to convert them to actual "buildings".

I was aiming for a style that fit the second page, but to convey that the design is meant to represent a Sewer, i had to go down the rabbit hole of the 3D-ish. And i'm not sure if it is too much compared to the somewhat simpler ones.

I've checked with a colorblind person to choose the colors to be easy to be tell apart, and on top of that each card has it's name and a symbol for each color. The faction colors are also easy to differentiate and each have a different logo and token shape.
Thanks for your comment.
