Question Williams Pkwy
What is going on, the repaved road seems narrower than before..
Why didn't they widen the road or add dedicated turning lanes at each intersection?
How will this road be improved after all the construction?

Question Obgyn recommendations for delivery
My family doctor has asked me to provide names of my preferred obgyn but I am new to the area and don’t know anyone. Most of the reviews I’m seeing online are a few years old so I’m looking for more recent information. I’m open other areas outside Brampton as well. Brampton Civic hospital is very close to me but I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews so I’m a bit confused. Help pls, thanks!!

Question How do I request for "No Dumping" signs in our crescent?
I'm back again! My previous post a couple months ago got taken down haha. Perhaps it was because I had the license plate of the person who dumped 10 tires at the end of our neighborhood crescent.
Someone new has decided to dump a whole ass tent and other items from their car on the other side of the crescent. I have a lot of identifying mail, including their vehicle permit. However, the items dumped makes me believe it was from a stolen car?
Would love to get signs for the road on both entrances. Anyone know how I can request this?

Discussion Patrick Brown has been quietly starving Brampton’s libraries for years, and this strike almost happening is what finally made people notice
The strike got called off, workers got a raise, most people are moving on. But the numbers say otherwise.
Brampton Library’s entire 2026 budget is $22.6 million — a 1.4% bump that doesn’t keep pace with inflation.
Brampton has fewer library branches than any of Canada’s top 10 cities, and less library space per person than any of them. Straight from the library’s own master plan. Vancouver, a smaller city, has 21 branches. We have 8.
Capital funding — the money that fixes buildings and replaces worn-out furniture — got cut from $1.74M to $850K last year, on top of a cut the year before. A third of the library’s equipment is rated “very poor” condition in the city’s own reports.
This is what happens when a mayor freezes budgets year after year instead of funding the basics people rely on daily. Libraries are one of the most-used services in this city and they’ve been left to rot.
The strike ending is good news, but it’s a band-aid on a bigger wound. This city’s libraries have gone underfunded for years, and that’s on Patrick Brown.

Discussion Municipal elections Brampton Wards7&8
Brampton City Council candidates Ward 7&8:
The ONLY candidate whom I have ever seen at council meetings, public events and community gatherings is Monica Soares!
She already has councillor experience in Southgate, so no need to spend the first year learning the ropes!
Where have all the other candidates been hiding?

City Hall The most important issue facing Brampton
I Think the most important issue facing Brampton
Is the lack of independent oversight of how our tax dollars are being spent. And i also think the fix is very simple: An Independent Auditor General.
What do you guys think about this?
I've also made a video about this topic

City Hall Patrick Brown keeps being a smug clown
Go to 27:40 for the beginning of the meeting.
Brown accepts Pat Fortini's resignation, makes a passive aggressive about Pat's heart being elsewhere, and fails to make any remarks resembling a thank you to Pat's several terms serving his residents.
Then Brown and council proceed to glaze Gael Miles and "all the wonderful things she has done" for her neighbours and constituents. So they do know how to recognize people serving their community, but Brown won't give that respect to a councilor of 12 years.
That's 10+ minutes complimenting Gael Miles and preparing to pay her for 2 months and shell out benefits like a car, but one sentence that was a back handed compliment to Fortini.
The funniest part is that Brown mentions how even with only 60 days left in the term, it's just so important they don't leave those residents with representation. As if Brown didn't sue to stop the majority of the previous councilors pick to replace Charmaine Williams for the better part of a year before the next elections.
This is not the way any public official should conduct themselves. I hope that even if you like Brown's policies, you can agree this was classless behaviour from him. Certainly behaviour fitting someone who wants to be our Mayor again.

Discussion Do you think Brampton should get a Canadian Premier League team?
Just curious what people think about this. Do you think Brampton could support a Canadian Premier League soccer team, or is it just not worth it?
Brampton has a huge and growing population and a massive soccer community, so on paper it seems like there could be a market for it. But there are obviously questions about having a stadium, attendance, competition with Toronto, and whether there’s enough demand to make a team financially sustainable. Brampton is considered the soccer hub of Canada. Feels wrong that it wouldn’t have team.
If Brampton got a proper soccer stadium and a CPL team was announced, would you actually go to games/support the team? And more importantly, do you think it’s something Brampton should even pursue, or would the money be better spent elsewhere?

Question New to Brampton. Rebuilding from scratch.
Just moved to Brampton from Quebec to stay with my brother for some time. I was an international student who worked very hard to earn a Bachelors degree in engineering in Canada. I worked for 3 years in engineering, building a great career. However, everything came to an abrupt break as my first PR application was refused and had no work authorization. I lost my favourite job.
But I thrived and successfully became a permanent resident of Canada after reapplying. Having been unemployed for over a year and a half, I exhausted all my savings that I had from my engineering career.
I’m trying to get back on my feet. It’s an uphill battle, especially mentally and financially. I am in the middle of applying to engineering jobs and I’m confident that I’ll have something lined up but I need to work NOW. I don’t mind any kind of retail/casual/restaurant work as long as the workplace is not some dingy shack hiring people working under the table.
I’m a Permanent resident now and fully authorized to work anywhere.
I love farming, food and tech. I have great communication and sales skills. 5+ years of experience in customer service over the phone. Having only worked an office job my whole life, I would love to have hands on work but I don’t mind office work either.
I am just wishing for a day where I can show up for work, earn money, pay off my debts to the amazing friends who helped me during this turmoil.
Experience with Indeed for casual work has been inhumane, therefore reaching out to the community here.
Thank you Bramptonians!
