I saved this guy and his sister, Sawyer, ten years ago this June. He has traveled the US with me, saved my life, and loves my human kids more than anythingš

This is great! I get my fixings from all these adorable lil pups! Here is my darling girl Hershey, she crossed the rainbow bridge three years ago, 2008-2023. She was so beautiful and sweet, coat was thick and frizzy like a grizzly⦠sheās missed dearly. Thank you everyone for sharing your brindledbabes š«¶š½

At 8 years old, Iāve reached the stage of needing readers.
My human was kind enough to hand-make a stylish granny glasses strap for me.
The eyesight may be declining. The fashion sense is not.
Apparently, aging comes with accessories. Iāll allow it. šµš½š

I'm in a foster with Needy Paws Rescue in St. Louis and wanted to share some info about my current foster puppy, Argos.
Argos is a 6 month old pit mix but he's currently only 20 pounds so he'll be a smaller pitbull, maybe 40 pounds.
He's a playful, rowdy puppy who loves tug of war and wrestling with other dogs. I think he'd do best in a house with another dog to play with. He is a little stinker and loves to run off with shoes and socks when he gets the opportunity.
Argos has made good progress on potty training and is very food motivated so will respond well to additional training. When he finally gets tired, he loves to snuggle up on the couch for a nap.
Link to Argos' profile and info on adoption if you happen to be local and interested!

sharing proud-doggo-mama photos featuring our sweet, derpy, silly, energetic, intelligent, social, and sometimes naughty Staffy-Boxer-Bulldog adventure rescue pup, Bowie, now at a whole 10 months and nearing 70 lbs from his original 24 lbs at 4 months on adoption day
Bowieās learning to not jump up on the counters even when delicious snacks like PB & popcorn are outāeven though his kitty brothers get to rest on the countersā, to nip a LOT less when excited to play, to settle on his Coolaroo matsārather than zoom around to every toy / object aroundā, to socialize so well with other pupsā he was a natural at thatā, to not eat random poop on walks in nature, to not grab at his own poop bags, to walk with minimal pulling, and, the most exciting and heartwarming ⦠š„ā¦
to really trust that his mamas adore him & will provide him with his needs š¾š
The post-adoption phase was quite challenging and the teenage phase is, too, but Bowie is worth every moment of training, energy, emotional ups and downs, uncertainty, and patience. There were moments I feared Bowie would not be able to realllllly settle, nap outside of his ātentā (room, crate), or stop his nipping, and, sometimes, admittedly, it was pretty bad. But⦠All of the pieces are starting to come together, and Iām one hell of a proud mom. š§©š§
P.S. Bowie is my first dog, never grew up with one or had one as an adult. I always knew I wanted a pitty mix of some sort. He wasnāt listed online yet for adoption at the Humane Society. I just wanted to go to the local HS to familiarize myself with pups after years of thinking I wanted a doggo eventually, but he came home with us that day. I ran to the pet store in a frenzy to get him an assortment of toys / treats / a crate, etc., so he could feel welcomed and have his own place in our home. He teaches me something new every day about himself, life at large, and myself. I love Bowie boy so very much. š

We got her from the city, but did find out sheās 100% Doberman on her motherās side, and her father was a Pitt mix.
But brindled she is!
