Abbi not having to be the Norma Rae of her building because the city now provides free shit buckets!

Abbi becomes friends with Rama when they meet at an art show (and after Abbi moves back from Colorado) and gets weirdly jealous that Rama and Zohran met on Hinge when Abbi was doing her artist in residency. “That could have been me Ilana! I could have been First Artist Lady of NYC!”

Bevers gets a high paying job as fashion director for Mamdani’s social media that he got from his time learning fashion at “Lord and Bevers”

Ilana struggles with her Jewish identity after learning more about Zionism after the “Birthmarc” trip and joins JVP. She doesn’t know what to do with her “Jew-ess” earrings and somehow Dale has them at the end of the episode.

did it take anyone else a while to realize the double meaning of some of the episode titles, which often combine descriptors of the A and B plots in a clever phrase. Did I miss any?

(I know there are titles where they’re literally just two words like, “bitcoin and the missing girl” but they don’t form a specific phrase with other meanings/connotations)

I knew it was about Ilana having a giant chain belt she has locked around herself all episode, but it took me a while to realize it was two chains because Abbi’s shirt tag also functions like a chain that’s hard to remove.

Artsy Fartsy s5 Ep5

i knew artsy fartsy was about the fancy art party Abbi goes to at MoMA, but it took me a while to realize it’s also because Ilana and Lincoln eat so much pasta to avoid talking about their incompatibility and then fart so much in the cab home.

I was just randomly thinking about broad city and giggling at all the times Ilana says to Abbi: meet me at _____, ya know, where that random man spit on you/ or jerked off on your purse/ where you lost your flip flop etc. And Abbi just on the other end of the phone nodding her head in disgust knowing exactly which ATM Ilana is referring to. 😂😂😂

Walking the streets last night after seeing Tori Amos in San Diego and saw this building. Of course, Ilana’s scam start-up company came to mind 😂

Anyone fans of both shows? I am noticing parallels between Ilana and Ava! In a good way! Lucia has directed episodes and obv Paul Downs was on both shows. “The Matrix” episode and the ep where Deb and Ava go on a hike kind of have a similar vibe too.

Okay when Ilana said “I’m a nasty bitch I eat stinky food” in that one episode when her and Lincoln are reviewing their relationship goals for the year Was she referencing anything? It sounds as it could be reference to a song or some sort, or maybe it’s literally just a talk spasm she had. Guys idk I’m just curious I NEED TO KNOW.
