since school is already closed.
do we not work from home as well?
Yes, school and work is different not the same but if we deep in Brunei's weather is not at it's great condition for now. PSI already reached it's limits.
Work should be closed as well.
Do not wait for the number of patients to rise before taking action.

Hey guys,
I’m 29, originally from Southeast Asia, but I’ve been living in the Middle East for the last couple of years. I used to fish quite a lot back home, but since moving here I haven’t been fishing for more than 2 years 😭
I’m visiting Brunei this week and really wanna get back into fishing while I’m in SEA.
I’m mostly into freshwater fishing, especially float fishing. My favorite thing is actually micro fishing, where I just go after the smallest fish I can find 😂. I’ve also done some baitcasting for snakeheads and carp.
I don’t know much about fishing in Brunei though. I know you guys have toman and haruan, and I’ve heard about Asian sea bass and some freshwater/brackish snappers too. But I honestly have no idea if freshwater fishing is even a big thing here lol.
I’ve never tried marine fishing either, so I’d be down for that too. At this point I’m not picky, I just miss fishing 😂
Since I don’t know anyone in Brunei, I figured I’d just ask here. I’ll be a guest in Brunei this week and it would be really cool to meet some locals, go fishing together and learn a bit about the country from you guys.
I don’t have any fishing gear with me, so consider me the noob guest 😅. I’m happy to learn and just tag along.
If anyone is going fishing sometime this week and doesn’t mind me joining, feel free to DM me.
Even if nobody’s going, if you’re into fishing and wanna chat about fishing in Brunei, feel free to message me. Would be nice to meet some people here.
I just wanna catch a fish again 😭🎣

Hi all,
I'm going to visit Brunei in about a month and wanted to ask if there are any insider tips on what I have to do to get the "real" Brunei experience - other than the stuff you find on Google. Places to visit, food to eat, where to meet locals and have a nice chat etc.
Thanks!

Hi, I need help with wifi or data when I arrive in Brunei. I'm traveling next week and it's my first time there and I am worried how will I get a tourist sim card. I will arrive around 10pm so I'm sure airport stalls are closed and I'm not sure where to buy outside the airport. Is there other options? Is pocket wifi rental a thing there?
For info, my phone is not esim capable so I need a physical sim. Tried searching in klook but they are all e-sim.
Appreciate any advice. I want to be practical as possible because I only have 2 full days there and I'm sure I will use dart and I need data for that.
Thanks.

I'm kinda intereted in this scholarship and want to try my luck, I'm currently in poli. Anyone have experience applying this or successfully accepted?
I want to know if I should either apply directly to the embassy, or let poli handle it, or go to university to apply it.
Next semester is my internship and currently doing my fyp

Hello everyone, I am from Egypt and I am interested in moving to Brunei for work and building a stable life. I would like to know if there are any opportunities for foreigners, especially in data entry or office work. What is the best legal way to find a job and move to Brunei? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ive been thinking alot about studying in what college and uni.. and there wasn't really alot of options that i was satisfied with until i realized about studying in miri
The thing is i never even once heard any locals not even a post (from what ive seen at least) talk about studying in miri , which is quite surprising knowing alot people here just wants to get out already.. again unless i didn't do TOO deep of a research i might be wrong
Still though i just want people's thoughts and maybe even experiences on studying in miri if its possible because i dont know if you can even study in miri since i dont hear alot about it
For short : i just want a answer if its possible to study in miri and if yes should i ? , and i wanna hear people's experience studying in miri AND people's experience studying in brunei too so i can compare.

Salam sejahtera and good day Bruneian redditors...
I have a friend (F19) who's currently having a hard time trying to pay for her college fees. Her dad is the only breadwinner of the family and he barely makes enough for daily expenses and couldn't afford to help with the fee and most recently told her that he's not willing to pay anymore.
When looking for a job, all of the stores, gerai, restaurants and vendors she's asked turned her down because of her green IC.
Does anyone have advice for her on how to find a job that could help her be able to pay for college fees? (For transparency, she needs to pay her school 420/month, or 2500/semester)
Any advice is helpful!

Anyone here has experience with St. George’s School for KG1? I’m considering it for my child and would love to know how the school is overall.
Thank you!

I’ve been trying different Indian restaurants around Brunei and was wondering — which Indian dish do you think is hardest to find made really well?
Could be anything — biryani, butter chicken, kebabs, dosa, paneer, curries, or even something less common.
What’s the one dish you’d recommend someone try, and where do you usually get it?

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share a small update on something I’ve been working on for quite a while on BorderKu.com.
I started BorderKu with a pretty simple idea: whenever we’re driving to Miri, Limbang, Lawas or Sabah, it would be nice to have one place where we can check the border situation before leaving home.
Since then, I’ve slowly been improving it whenever I have the time.
BorderKu now brings together things like:
I’m still constantly learning and improving it, and I know there are things that can be better.
But seeing people actually use something I built has honestly been very encouraging.
BorderKu isn't a big company or a government service. It’s just a local project that I’ve been building and maintaining because I think it can genuinely be useful for people travelling between Brunei and Malaysia.
If you've never tried it before, I would really appreciate it if you could have a look:
And if you already use BorderKu, I thank you. Seriously.
Even simply visiting the site, sharing it with someone who regularly drives across the border, reporting something that isn't working, or giving me feedback helps a lot.
I don't expect everyone to support it financially either. Using it and telling someone else about it is already support.
My hope is just to keep improving BorderKu until it becomes one of those useful little Brunei tools that people naturally check before starting a road trip.
If you have suggestions for what BorderKu should do next, please tell me in the comments. I do read the feedback here, including the criticism.
Thank you r/Brunei for giving this little project a chance. 🇧🇳❤️
BorderKu, know the border before you go.

I plan to apply a few companies outside Brunei especially those in Europe & few others.
I have been working as a Deck Crew Seafarer/Sailor in Local Company contract by BSP Offshore operation for nearly three years. Although local opportunities in Brunei are too limited since there only BGC. There are high demand for internationally and I am fully aware of the operational risks and extended rotation schedules—such here brunei as 3+ months on duty—and I am prepared to take on long-term deployments. Hoping seeking opportunities where my skills and dedication can be utilized outside Brunei.
Qualifications I already taken like- Rigger & Banksman lvl2, BST, DSD, TSBB, COC & COP. I Soon taking my STCW-2 Exam.
Any Opinion from fellow Brunei Seafarers would be helpful
