Hi everyone! I’m a very skinny guy and I’ve been wanting to start seriously working out and build some muscle.

I have access to the gym at CSU and I can commit around an hour a day to training. My main problem is that I’m not really sure where to start—what exercises I should do, how many sets/reps, how to structure my workouts, and what I should be eating to actually gain muscle.

I’m hoping there might be someone here from CSU who has experience with weightlifting/bodybuilding and would be willing to guide me or help me get started. I’m not looking for anything complicated—I’d just really appreciate having someone experienced show me the basics and help me build a proper routine.

Loving this parking spot, especially following the earthquake. Honest to god, being parked out here in the open beats sitting under a shaky ceiling any day. No towering concrete structures, no overhead power lines, and zero chance of debris coming down on the roof. It’s just wide-open sky and a clear path if another aftershock hits. Honestly, it’s funny how a random piece of pavement can suddenly feel like absolute gold.

Hello, I've seen a lot of posts about chill places in Butuan, or any activities we could do here. I haven't been around much tbh (been here for half a year) but these are the places Ive chilled with friends:

1. Leah's cafe

2. My go to, just because they have a lot of parking space and its near my friends house. There's also not much people so we like coming here.

3. Bancasi Circle

4. idk what people call this place, but its round so I call it circle. Its a piece of flat land with lights. We go on night picnics here (as long as you CLAYGO, then its fine). A lot of people come here to jog or have picnics along the lit areas (we prefer the grassy area, bringing a mat to sit on)

5. Mayapay

6. We have a small cabin up there (sorry not open to public 🥲). But the roadside has been popular lately, I think a cafe opened up there? (Not sure) And its basically a view overlooking Butuan, so idk maybe consider it?

7. Idol

8. Its an indoor badminton court. But they dont accept reservations 😔. We come here for exercise

9. Night Market

10. Not sure if its open everyday (I think its gonna close soon) but anyways they have food in case you're not sure on what to eat but want variety.

11. Random Roadside Coffee Popups

12. Sometimes we just dont know where to go, so we spot a random Coffee popup and settle there. Pukaw is a crowd fave tho, and a lot of students chill here at night.

Butuan City is a very small, quiet, sleepy town. And there's barely any places to chill, if you ask me. Ive spotted some places I wanna visit but havent got the time yet:

1. Alana Pilates Studio
2. Anime Express Lounge
3. Cuetip Sports Bar (my billiard cravings are killing me)
4. Robinson's Mall parking space (Ive seen people going there to chill, some skate and some play pickleball)
5. Bookish Things by Elle (not an actual place but its a book club and I think they choose different locations)

Final tip: I actually recommend going out of the city and into neighboring towns, depending on what you're going for. Much wider variety.
