How to study SST ?

Hello guys! I am a 10th standard student. And today was my SST Half Yearly exam and it was very lengthy and most of the questions were competency based almost 80% of the paper was competency based.

My exam went so bad for me in fact I studied almost 6 to 8 hours before the exam and still I didn't perform up to my expectations.

Now I don't know what to do I am in a lot of tension right now. If I perform like this in boards then I am definitely gonna fail.

By the way I use All in One for SST to learn some Important Questions. I read each and every chapter 2 or 3 times to revise. And I even watched one shot of digraj sir as well. I have been watching digraj sir's lecture from 6th standard infact 8 have even performed well in my 9th grade but I don't know what happened in 10th I have not even scored good in my pt1 and if this is my condition in pt2 then what am I going to do in boards. I don't know where I am lacking please guide me.🙏🏻

But if I read only once then the question arises how to write answers cause when I read once I understand the concept but what about writing that same thing for straight for 3 hours.

ig u should try answer writing and see answersheet of toppers who got 100 and try writing answer in points in 3 mark q too . and make notes in points it will help a lot . also before writing answer just think about the points what you are going to write so that when u start writing u dont mess up

Ig bro reading NCERT is the best way, at least for me, I am also a 10th grader rn and the way I study is a bit weird. I first take a pencil and read NCERT, and coz my attention span is a bit cooked, i just underline almost every word to keep my attention hooked, and in the empty spaces given in NCERT i write small important points which helps me revise chapter quickly, i keep it for times like teacher announces a suspire test or something like that. then while reading if i dont understand something, I watch Digraj Sir old videos which have a great explanation, then if i wana study something deeper (especially in history) i spend time with Chat GPT and go deep into the topic beyond textbook for better understanding, Ig thats what I do

practice writing answers you've already done your syllabus to a good extent js grind pyqs and keep re-reading ncert or any specific answers you struggle with waise bhi boards isn't going to be all that difficult

What I did for 95 marke was reading Political science and Economics NCERT line by line in class as my school teacher used to tell shit stories in that time. Idk how I did Geography and was completely relied on one shot for History.

You still have a lot of time in pre-boards. Here are the steps from someone who got 95 in SST: 1.fuck maps, 5 marks ke liye itni matha pachi kaun kare. Ik mere 5 marks udhar hi gaye lol. 2. Digraj sir ke old one-shot lectures jo unke apne page par hai. Gold literally. 3. Do read ncert, highlight keywords and do all of the questions from it. 4. Make short notes. Basically you should be able to remember a point by a single key word, and hence a 5 marks question becomes only 6 or 7 keywords and underline these keywords while writing your answer. Baaki to bich mein english hi bhar ni hai. 5. Do past papers or buy some question bank book from arihant or oswall. Do not buy books from these yt houses like next toppers or PW etc as answers are wrong many times.

bhai padhai kaise bhi kre bas writting clear aur achi honi chahiye board me answer sequencer aur har ek chij points me maene sst bhut ache se kiya but i got 85 only but i was expectcting 95 in sst but f*k it don't listen to anyone not even famous yt teachers just do your work

Bro make sure to always write answers of 3 and 5 mark questions in points as you will only have to write 4 lines for 3 marker and 6 lines for 5 marker but if you write in paragraph you will have to write a lot more content.

And if this is about not knowing how to write answers then you can read pyq answers by topper instead of just ncert.

Also, for SST just do ratta if you dont plan on taking history, geography , or civics in 11th.

What I use to do is study all in one for school exams and ncert for boards because, boards prefer answers from ncert all in one might get you things remember easily but not all detailed points.

This trick worked for me. Okay, I got around full marks in pre-boards, so my impression was good, and in the boards I got around 75. This is the trick that worked for me.

Number one is stop making notes. It will literally consume you, making notes, and you will be so frustrated making notes. Don't make notes. Study directly from NCERT, mark the points, use the, you know, what do you say them? Sticky notes. Use sticky notes and all that, they are going to help you a lot.

Number two is get a freaking reference book. Any reference book, just get one reference book and start studying from it. Start studying each and every chapter, question, one marker, two marker, three marker, five marker. That will help you, and you can watch Shubham ma'am lecture. They are pretty, pretty, they are very nice.

And for SST, now you will score a lot. Just remember the trick: if there is a two-marker question, write three to four points; three-marker, write six points; and five-marker, then at least, at least write six to seven points. If there is not that much content, if content is given, then write at least nine to ten points, small or big, depending upon the context.

And for example, in the question, if you have asked, "What is the reason for the depletion of soil erosion?" So generally what you do? Write the soil erosion. This is the worst thing. You have to write what soil erosion is. So first we have to explain soil erosion. It is the process of removal of the upper layer of the soil, I don't remember exactly, and then go with points.

This will help you get a lot of marks. I hope this will work.
