Idk honestly hahaha, you kinda feel it? Altocumulus is the actual cloud, and then stratiformis is just describing that it's covering the entire sky🤷‍♂️

You first do the genus, then the species, then the varieties, then the supplementary features. Altocumulus is the genus, stratiformis is a species

"Altostratocumulus" doesn't exist
