GENERAL Study Advice Needed!

Hello everyone,

I am getting back into studying for my CPA and I really am just struggling to start again. I think I’m just overwhelmed and need direction. Anyways, what does your study routine look like and please be detailed.

For example, if you are studying for 3 hours one day can you tell me exactly what that looks like for you? For instance, are you doing 1 hour of video lectures, 2 hours of MCQ’s?

I am just looking for advice on how to better utilize my study time by hearing what worked for others. I really would like to be done with all 4 exams in 8-10 months. I received a 73 on AUD and just got a little off track. Thanks in advance!

For me: i read the textbook to get the concepts down. Once im done reading, i spam multiple choice questions and highlight my notes on the questions that i missed

Do you have a goal for how much your reading in one study session? For example, are you reading an entire section in one study session? I’m using Becker btw.

I also have becker but personally i dont like the textbook. It's not detailed enough for me imo and doesnt explain the concepts well.

Im reading audit and other assurance services by whittington. Really like this book because it explains the concepts well with many examples so makes it easier to memorize. Doing a chapter a day taking good notes.

I passed FAR this way too. Read my college textbook front to back, and then spammed multiple choice questions. Im unemployed right now, my goal is to pass the cpa exams. Studying about 10 hours a day
