I thought I’d share a post on this page for anyone that’s thinking about quitting or who needs motivation.

I recently passed reg my last cpa exam but it was a long journey.

I have been taking the exams for the past four years about and this was my journey of pass and fails with the amount I studied for each.

Bec- 83 first attempt pass (140 hours studied)
Aud - 63 fail (200 hours)
Aud - 70 fail ( 160 hours)
Aud - 75 pass ( 150 hours)
Far - 54 fail (200 hours)
Far - 54 fail (200 hours)
Far - no show no credit gave up
1 year gap
Far-80 pass (200 hours)
Bec expired
ISC - 76 (160 hours)
Reg -84(260 hours

I almost gave up after getting to 54s on far after studying hundreds of hours and thought I was not capable I am not good at taking tests and not the smartest but these can be done if you have persistence and grit

To anyone wanting to quit you can do this if I did it just depends what you are willing to sacrifice.

My biggest piece of advice is while studying if you don’t know something don’t skip it and hope it won’t be tested aggressively study it. Aggressively study all the mc and all the sims and you will pass.

I read a lot of posts about how the sims through you off etch tbh far and reg this last time around I found the sims fine perhaps easier then becker the key is if you actually know the material and trust yourself and be confident which I lacked all of the times I failed before.

For some background as well I dropped out of college and got kicked out of home at 18 initially due to opiate addiction and was more or less homeless for a while. went to community college then transferred to a university it took me about 7 years to finish my bachelor’s working in restaurants and going to school part time after that I landed a job in audit at a big four firm and lasted a year and a half and transitioned into industry.

Good luck to everyone still grinding you all can do it no matter what you are going through believe in yourself that is I think is key.

Hi Future CPA’s! I’m exactly 24 days out from my first CPA exam (FAR), and I am feeling all the feelings😅. My fiancé and I are planning our March ‘27 wedding, buying our first house, and working full time as an Accounting Manager in Southern CA.

Needless to say, there’s been a lot on my mind lol! I finished all of the modules in about 7 weeks and plan to do one SE each Saturday leading up to my exam. My goal is to complete all of the exams by the end of next year and wanted to share my journey with all of yall along the way!

I took FAR today for the first time after having around 300 hours of studying, 62 SE #1, 84 SE #2 and 78 SE #3. Felt like absolute shit leaving the exam center. None of the TBS questions made sense. Nothing could have prepared me for that. I would need an absolute miracle to pass that exam. Go in expecting the unexpected. There were a few sims that I had no idea on which I know were wrong because I had to plug in a random number. Good luck to those studying!

What do you recommend doing the night before exam? Does anyone do a long night of studying or do you try to relax and put the materials away and try to sleep? Just curious what works for people.

Been lurking this sub and seeing other people's ISC posts so I thought I checked to see how everyone is feeling now. I took it on July 2 and really felt a handful of multiple choice questions had more than one right answer, and the TBSs seemed pretty rough compared to what I've seen in Becker lol

So REG is my last section and i took the exam this morning feeling pretty confident going in with the best sim scores i’ve had for any section (70, 72, and 72). Coming out of the test i felt completely destroyed. I marked about 20-25 mcq total (that I was iffy on) and completely blanked in my head by the time i got to the TBS. I am almost sure I got a 0% on one of the TBS and did not feel very confident on the other but think managed at least 50% on each. I am feeling very beaten down and start work at PwC October 2nd and wanted to be finished before that. Has anyone felt this way coming out of REG and still ended up receiving a passing score?

I recently cleared all 4 CPA exams and wanted to order the Successful Candidate Letter. The total cost is currently coming to around USD 235 including shipping.

Before I place the order, I wanted to clarify whether the Successful Candidate Letter includes all three items/documents mentioned in the image below:

• Certificates
• NASBA Candidate Identification Cards
• CPA Merchandise

When I proceed to checkout, the order only specifically mentions “Successful Candidate Letter for the CPA examination,” so I'm a little confused about whether the certificate, candidate ID card, and CPA merchandise are included with this order or if they are separate.

Has anyone recently ordered this and can confirm what is actually included?

SO... I took FAR July 1st, passed with a 78. Took ISC July 30th, about to get the result soon. AUD is scheduled for October 1st but I just can not seem to study, no matter how hard I try. The lectures have me zoning out only a couple minutes in, even at 2x speed, and the textbook is a drag. There's SO MUCH THEORY!! and NO NUMBERS!! Nothing is interesting... it's like staring at a wall of neverending text. I am doing fine with the MCQs (typically 75-80%) and fair with most TBSs so far (just finished A2.. though I have not done any additional questions from the practice test, that is sort of a reserve for final review) it seems like I am just blindly ticking check boxes... a good amount of the questions I get right are because of process of elimination and not because I know the answer... to put it simply, I feel like I don't know anything. I am behind on schedule because I have to FORCE MYSELF to focus. And... the posts here are scary af with the number of attempts so many people have said it took them... I really can not AFFORD to fail... quite literally ($$$). So anyone who had the patience to sit through this rant and felt even slightly similar... please help a girl out? Wtf am I supposed to do??

TL;DR: Struggling badly to stay focused because AUD feels like an endless wall of text. MCQ scores are ~75–80%, but mostly through elimination, so they feel like guesses rather than real understanding. Just finished A2 and the exam is in 30 days. Looking for advice/reassurance from anyone who passed AUD first try without experience.

How much attention you give to the overall review and practice over all modules after it’s all completed? I give a lot and I keep updating my notes still, not sure if I am wasting my time or comprehension is important.

I’m just annoyed, because I use a review course and trust what it teaches me, I have sent so many mails to them for them to correct their questions. This is so not okay.

This is my first exam and I am beyond nervous. I use UWorld. I took my first SE last Tuesday and got a 53% then I took the mock exam on Friday and got a 66%. I just took another SE and got a 63%. I know there’s a UWorld bump but I am not going to rely solely on that. I know that FAR is the most challenging and it’s okay to fail it but I’d prefer not to spend an additional $360 to make it up. Am I cooked or is there a chance?🫩

Just took the Se. Is it a good score. I wanted to score above 80😒

Not sure if it was just me or was the audit exam today not hard asf?? Assuming it’s just me but idk am I tripping or were MCQs and TBS both harder on the actual exam??

I just finished two simulated exams yesterday and today. I scored a 74% and a 71%. Not sure how it will go since I tried to cram this one.

Should I do a mock test today? I get anxious and feel scared to do a mock test before the real exam day. Any advice? I started studying full time since July and I feel ready for whatever it’s ahead. I have been very disciplined.

3 days until my AUD exam, finishing up A6 today and taking ME3. Tomorrow I am planning to take SE1 and then taking SE2 the following day. Considering time constraints, how should I structure my review for AUD? I am planning on just hammering MCQs as most people recommend as well as brushing up on concepts in the book and rewatching some videos. Are there any topics that I should spend extra time reviewing or are there any other strategies for review that worked for you?
